What countries do you have to have a working visa for? And If you get one do you have to update every so often?

If you are from Wales, you have that delightful EU citizenship which means you will not to get one for any other EU (or schengen) country.

Aside from that, I can't imagine there is a country in the world where you wouldn't need to get one, and how difficult it is depends on the country. For example, you would need to document certain skills to get a work visa for somewhere like Australia - typically whichever skills they need. For the US, it is quite difficult I believe. For "less developed" countries you can often just pay for it, although how much will vary. In Thailand for example, you would need either the backing of a company OR to create your own company (approx 1000 Euro) and then pay on a regular basis, as well as leave the country regularly. I know you can outright buy one for vietnam for 12 months, but not sure how much.

Of course you will have to update it somehow - otherwise you are talking about a permanent thing, ie citizenship, and that will always be really hard and require you live in the country for a certain amount of time. Generally they are issued for 12 months at a time, but there are many options, and normally it works out that you pay for convenience. So, cheaper visas will be less convenient, and vice versa.

So there will likely be a monetary fee, as well as many other rules and requirements. Really, you should find out which country you want to work in first of all and then figure out about the visas. But as a general rule, they are easier to obtain in non-western countries (And that doesn't mean it's easy - just that it's a royal pain in the ass to get one for a western country)
