Why do we take a nostalgic approach to life?
Why do we live in memories of past times?
It is the disappearance of our childhood bliss
Those are the days that we miss.
Born free from misconception and lies
The ability to naturally live our lives.

Why do we wallow away from reality?
Why do we dwell into the conformity of an obligatory society?
We surrender our lives to a cycle of what we are supposed to do.
Following the stages of an ideal life.
Society is a prison of things to be done.
Our lives are over before they’ve begun.

Why do we let them run us?
Why do we let them take it all away?
The weak keep on running in circles.
    The weak become commercial.
My friends, don’t you run around.
Keep those feet locked on the ground.

I am working on the poem still as it is not finished, there is something I feel it lacks or maybe it lacks as a whole I dont know yet. I still need a title also but thats not important right now. Just some input on what I can approve or if you like it at all or not. Thanks.

Wow, this is good! It's true as well. Nostalgia...we do live on memories and society. I don't personally think it needs anything else, but that's just my opinion. It's strong enough as it is.
