A few years ago, when someone was talking about cream pies, Jane blurted out "I love cream pies". At the time, I could not work out why people gave her such strange looks. I just assumed that they were simply thinking about them making her fat. Just as well I kept quiet, or someone would have seen a double meaning in how they were going to make her fat.
In the United States and other countries, cul-de-sac is often not an exact synonym for dead end and refers to dead ends with a circular end, allowing for easy turning at the end of the road. In Australia and Canada, they are usually referred to as a court when they have a bulbous end. - Ooh lol
We call them apartments now and sell them for twice the price. In the UK, technically an apartment is a unit in a building with a second floor level. Adding a large outside balcony makes it a 'penthouse' and you need to rob a few banks before looking at them. One sold in London a few years ago for £7 million.
I think here, a penthouse is a lone, huge luxor apartment on the top level of a high rise apartment building. It's also an adult porn magazine. Hahahaha
