word of advice,get your guns and ammo while the getting is good!

given the recent string of events i foresee a major ruling on guns and ammo being snuck in under the radar within the next few weeks. hell who knows given the events it may be a in your face fuck you we are doing it whether you like it or not event.

i have no evidence to support this other than the string of shootings over the last 3 days including the one that just happened minutes ago in florida.

then there are the others over the last couple weeks..

i feel this changes everything and bans are imminent. and there aint a damn thing we can do about it but stock up while we still can.

ammo is already scarce in the retail world..

 

Walk into any gun store and try to buy 50 rounds of 20ga. Can't do it. Special order, waiting list, etc.

 

i cant help but chuckle to see these folks talk about going and shooting a 1000 rounds for "practice" with their scary black rifles then in the next breath complain about having a hard time finding ammo..

some people are complete morons.

 

apparently the taxes ARE going up in June, I think... and my states governor has said he will match that hike... a $1-2.00 box of 22's will go for around $9-10.00's... so I definitely agree with you, and since the first shooting I told my parents, that I had a funny feeling that these were not incidental/coincidental... they seemed planned somehow, like we've had so many in a string, it cant be a coincidence... nothing all winter? and now that its getting warmer people decide to die and kill? rediculous, I say!

yeah i have heard about the ammo tax for quite sometime now,havent actually seen proof of it..i dont doubt its coming tho.

Can't get my hands on any guns, well, except a shotgun, but i dont even have the money for that...

Would someone my age be able to buy ammunition without any hassle?

I figure i can stock up on that, and use it as currency when shit goes real down.

 

I was in Outdoor World yesterday, they have tons of Ammo. Just not what I need. I could use another 100 rounds of .20ga sabot. Too many manufacturers have dropped it.

And my long range is pretty much done. $4 per round for Arisaka 6.5x50 reloads??? Screw that. I'm selling it and getting a 30.06.

 

yeah ive heard that over and over and over. "tons of ammo but nothing in my caliber"..

i have also heard that 30-06 rounds are still pretty plentiful.. im kinda surprised on you having trouble finding your preference of 20 ga shells.

i had a heck of a time finding my 8x57 rounds a while back but finally found them for 12 bucks a box. needless to say i bought all they had..

Too many large game hunters say that 20 ga slugs don't have the velocity for a clean kill. I beg to differ based on my own experience. 20 ga rifled slugs are unreliable but sabots are pretty flat up to about 75 yards. Of course that's based on three for three single round heart shots but what do I know...

I've never fired the Arisaka but I know two other people who have used them and they say they are an excellent deer gun. And it's pretty. I'll miss it.
