genessee cream ale - 6 packs of pints for 3.99! thats 50 cents cheaper than 6ers of 12oz PBRs! genessee isn't very good, but for cheap beer it sure isn't very bad, either. now, i do prefer pbr, but this is cheaper AND has an extra 24oz per six pack....thats like two whole extra beers! i'm happy
its fact. where would the fat come from? the grains, hops, yeast, or water? beer is high in carbohydrates, but no fat. anyway, just had a big frosty one. also, i misspelled. genesee, not genessee. btw, light beers (which are lower in carbohydrates) are "light" because they use less malted grain. less malted grain means less carbohydrates, as well as less fermentable sugars. less fermentable sugars means less food for the yeast. less food for the yeast means less alcohol excreted as a byproduct of the yeast's metabolism (alcohol is essentially yeast-pee) light beers are as expensive as their regular counterparts, but are cheaper to make because fewer ingredients are used for the same amount of water. the lower quantities of ingredients means you're getting significantly less flavor AND less alcohol for the same price. its a rip off. if one is concerned with the calories in beer, just drink less instead of paying for the light beer. its one of the biggest scams around. and no, its not a light beer, and neither is PBR, but it is close.
how many times do i have to take your word for it ? even though i already knew it to be true ? le sigh.
people that drink low fat beer piss me off if you want a low fat drink, drink water i usually drink vodka, water, bar lime for my calorie wise beverage so delish
none. but if you act like it's untrue, i'll point out that it is, since i had no way of knowing you understood it was true but decided to imply i was full of shit. but whatever. anyway, i was pretty much done with it until you essentially said you were just pretending to be that ignorant. yeah, its not great, but it's drinkable. i like it alright, but i'm with you on not wanting to drink it all the time. but for 4 bucks for 6 pints, it's a deal with sparkling water it would be awesome. switch the vodka to gin and thats one of my favorite drinks
3 gallons? who makes 3 gallon batches of beer? and how the hell did you get the ingrediants so cheaply?
I just made 3 gallons of piss for $0. I win. (never heard of that beer... don't know if I want to if it's cheaper than PBR) I'm drinking Red Stripe right now, far from the best beer out there, but it's ok for the scorching heat here. $12 for a 12 pack ain't that bad either.
genesee is pretty similar to PBR. i do prefer PBR, but pricewise they're usually roughly the same. they're both very good for the price, and i really do prefer it to budweiser or miller or something
Genesee Bock is much better than the Cream Ale. It's a seasonal, though, and most of the stores have already sold out of it. It's like $5.99 a 12-pack, and is on par with Yuengling (quality-wise) -- maybe even better.
