All this work on goodstock brings back memories of woodstock and the journey we took and why we took it. Joni Mitchel has sumed it up pretty well in her Lyrics in Woodstock. I felt this song strongly back in the day and when ever I hear it it lifts my spirit bc it is the true essence of what we were and what drew us to band together in celebrating Life in our music. I carry this song in my heart always and live by the deeper meaning it represents. I hope in the reading of Joni's song, it will fill your heart with love for all our brothers and sisters and bring us closer in spirit with the music and each other. Enjoy. Woodstock Joni Mitchel I came upon a child of God He was walking along the road And I asked him, where are you going This he told me I am on my way to Asgur's Farm I'm going to join in a rocknroll band I'm going to camp out on the land I'm going to try and get my soul free We are stardust We are golden And we've got to get ourselves Back To The Garden Then can I walk beside you I have come here to lose the smog And I felt to be a cog in something turning Well maybe it's just the time of year And Maybe it's the time of man I dont know who I am But you know life is for learning. We are stardust We are golden And we have got to get ourselves Back to The Garden By the time we got to woodstock We were half a million strong And every where was a song and celebration And I dreamed I saw the bomber jet planes Riding shot gun in the sky Turning into butterfly above our nation. We are stardust Billion yesr pld carbon We are golden Caught in the Devils bargan And we've got to get ourselves Back to the garden
