    Hello,

so here is your trivia of the day. The woodpecker's tongue is attached to the right nasal orifice, then goes around the head and into the mouth. Imagine what he can do with his tongue ;).

    Regards
    Gyro

I took a search because I was wondering how we are supposed to picture 'goes around his head'.

    Hello,

I wonder if he sticks out his tongue if you tip him on the back of his head ;).

    Regards

That is amazing. I never knew. i never knew wood peckers had a tongue like that, but it would make sense, as to how they get the insects out of the tree after they make the holes......There is one around here....and i always find the sound of their woodpecking a friendly one.
