So when I was 14 my arm went num and I told my mom. So she took me to the doctor. I guess the doctor thought I was lieing until I grabbed a pin off her wall and started to stab my arm a few times while looking at her. So she sent me to a nerve specialist. I guess she thought I was lieing also. She said she was going to stick a needle in my arm to jumpstart my nerve. I was down but every time my mom would call to make that a appointment she would never get a date. So I just felt with it. Until I turned 21 I was pregnent. I went into labor and they have me a epidural. And I think they hit something because I screamed with pain that shot down and to my legs. My arms hurt so bad after I had my son I couldn't hold him at times. They said it was just I need to walk to get blood flow. So I walked and walked up and down the halls. Never went away and I guess they thought I was liein. I went to my normal doctor he 3rd me there was No way it came from the epidural. But he have me pain meds for almost a year.I went through physical therapy. I swear it was the only thing that allowed me to hold my son. So here I am pregnant again and scared to have another epidural. And I can't have the baby naturally because I ha a the c section. And my doctor has made plans to induce me at 35 weeks. Any mommas out there that had any problems like mine? I don't think I will get pain meds this go around. My arm still comes and gos with feeling.
Have you considered chiropractic care? I see a chiropractor right now because I have a slight spinal condition, and I've been told by him that if a disk in your spine is out of alignment, it can cause pain and discomfort in different parts of the body, because your nerves are all connected.
"And I can't have the baby naturally because I ha a the c section. And my doctor has made plans to induce me at 35 weeks. Any mommas out there that had any problems like mine?" I'm confused. Are they inducing labor or are you having another c section? You do not have to consent to an epidural, that is your choice. What diagnosis did they give you for Physical Therapy? Apparently it helped... was it maybe thoracic outlet syndrome? If so, that can be treated and with great results. But not by using pain meds, that only covers the pain it does not help the disease. Physical therapy, massage therapy and even chiropractic can help, but there needs to be some investigating as to what is causing it also. Sometimes it is as simple as your posture, your job, your chair, things like that.
