the thing is, men tend to obsess about their partners more. women not so much. my advice is don't obsess over them so much. nothing is forever, learn to enjoy the moment and don't put such expectations on people. try to enjoy what happiness you can bring yourself and not expect for others to do it for you.

Seriously, do you think the quality of romance has dwindled in this post-modern, hi-tech age? There are more singles now than ever. People are finding it hard to get a partner. It's sad really.

I actually think a lot of singles today are partly so due to romanticing everything and are scared to be disappointed. They don't settle for a less than ideal picture. They often have more choice than ever before

 

Absolutely. The idea of relationships that are presented to people through music, television, and movies is a delusion, and now people get together for no reason other than sexual attraction, thinking that's what love is. Dysfunction is glamorized and perpetuated by people who have no clue what a healthy relationship looks like. I could download an app and find someone who would fuck me in less than 10 minutes, who wants to deal with actual feelings and the stress of someone who challenges you?
