Withnail & I

I absolutely adore this film...it is a part of me. Ever since I saw the film my life changed, when I watch it I just feel a strange sense of belonging. Not to mention that the film is just plain brilliant. I never looked at it as much of a comedy, although it certainly is to a degree, but as a story of friendship, tragedy and intelligence. The ending is just superb

Any other massive fans around here? i know there are a few

 

I had never heard of it until I picked it up in an op shop in England. I loved it. I really like Richard E Grant. He is great in "A Merry War" as well.

I've seen a stage version, and I've met one of the actors in it.

 

Richard Griffiths made this movie for me, he's just such a legend, every line he has is one worth quoting.

Anyone heard his interview on the old BBC Radio 2 Russell Brand Show?

It was incredible.
