I feel like fucking shit right now (and have for the past fourty-eight hours).

My girlfriend and I used poppy pod tea six days in a row, twice in one day on two occasions, and stopped completely when we ran out of pods three days ago. I'm a total fool for not weening myself off of it when I knew we were getting low on pods, but you guys know how it goes. Anyway, for the past two days I've been enduring the following symptoms:

Major irritability, muscle aches all over the place, very low energy, diarrhea, feeling short of breath, and trouble sleeping for more than an hour at a time.

Are these symptoms consistent with opiate withdrawal or could I just be coming down with a flu-like illness? I'm unsure as to whether we used enough of the drug for a long enough period of time to actually experience withdrawal. We ordered twenty-five medium sized pods and prepared 3-6 at a time each time we dosed.

    Any input is appreciated.

That sounds like withdrawal to me. Though a lot of times w/d's can feel very similar to getting sick, with the addition of the crawling skin that makes you want to jump out of your body. One way to test to see if these symptoms are cause completely from w/d's, would be to dose yourself with an opiate and if the symptoms completely disappear, you got your answer. Hope you feel better, if it is w/d's they shouldn't be lastnight more than a couple more days, account to the amount that you did. Unless you were using before that.

    Feel better bud.

I'll have to agree, that sounds exactly like withdrawal. After 6 straight days of use, morphine will produce some nasty withdrawal symptoms when suddenly discontinued. Hell, I had some injectable pharmaceutical morphine awhile back and used it for 2 days in a row and that was enough to give me chills, cramps and sweats. Use Immodium AD, (generic loperamide), it's really useful for making you feel better, especially the stomach cramps and the runs. It seems to help me detox every time and works allright. You'll feel better in a few days, hang in there!

yes.. opiates and opioids alike, produce mental and physical withdrawal symptoms..

but your mind is stronger then your body, and you can overcome withdrawal in hours with the power of your mind.

i did oxy for like 10 months straight, and stopped cold, out of no where, and i didnt do any opiates for 8 days, first and second day i experienced minor WD symptoms, just anxiety really.. just needed the right state of mind to conquer the mental stress withdrawal puts on you.

I don't know if I'd call that mind over matter as much as I'd call it pure luck of the genes. You're a lucky bastard. Cheers to that! :cheers2:

One day, my withdrawals hit a new low.
In addition to headaches and muscle aches, I started puking and shitting waterfalls.
Not to mention being a complete and utter dickhead.
Avoiding withdrawal and using almost daily is a doozie.

well thanks, cheers :cheers2: definitely! :)

anyone can do it though, you just require a strong mind..
it wasnt luck though.. i wanted to stop because i needed my tolerance to get lower.. id had to do 80mg's or more to get a daze.. felt like i was wasting it.. when my GF does 10mg's and dazes for like an hour, i def felt like i was wasting it lol

ive had bad WD's before though.. but i had to lower my tolerance, so last month though, oct 18th - oct 26th, i stopped and it worked great.. no opiates at all..
I ended up doing oxy again, because the pain treatment, and because i enjoy the euphoria i receive from it..

during the time i stopped my GF and my mom really couldnt believe how well i handled it.. 1st day was rough, lots weird leg pains, 2nd day i had a little anxiety, but then i just kept my mind busy, working on some interests, smoking some good nugget and playing video games.. and ever since that i proved to myself that you can control your mind with the right mindset.. i havent felt shitty after not being able to have oxy..

    :) peace

mephisto, if thats really true, then you're a fucking beast, and i applaud you for it. but you won't always get that lucky, trust me, people i know have said after they shot for a couple of months they didn't feel anything, and then after, off a little use, they got fucked. just be careful man, they're evil. all in moderation i say.

its been over a month since I used oxy. I think Im gonna get some OC40s next week, its about that time. I've been refraining from drugs period actually. I actually blacked out on xanax 2 days ago, cuz I popped like 2 bars because that's what I needed to feel anything before, that and a quart of beer, but those two bars put me on my ass cuz its been weeks since I even drank.

I really cut my benzo and opiate use, too.
And had a similar experience with xanax a week or two ago.
I remember popping five footballs, thinking my tolerance was "natural" lol.
Needless to say I woke up in my friends car drooling on the window.
On a good note, three of my friends got busted that night, and I woulda too if I hadn't passed out lol

like i said it wasnt luck..

    thanks for the compliment though..

i needed to quit for a while so i actually got a buzz from them.. i hated doing an 80, and getting a minor buzz from it lol.. i really didnt quit for that long, a week basically.. but i do use them for pain as well as recreational.. really, my mind was thinking this: "damn i cant get a buzz of these anymore, no point in doing them really.." so it was like i wanted to quit.. like some people get sick of smoking weed, or cig's, to the point where they just dont want it anymore.. and they stop instantly.. like i said i had minor WD's from it for the first 2 days, but it is opiates and they are very mind controlling.. lol

and its not that amazing, the mind is more powerful then anything.. and it can overcome alot more difficult things then just withdrawals, it can overcome just about anything..

Thanks a lot for all the comments, guys.

I probably should have mentioned that I had fourty pods arriving the day after I posted this thread. I was still feeling heavy symptoms that morning but when I dosed around 5:00pm, the world was right again and I felt like a new person. That's probably a bad thing, but this time my girlfriend and I wrote up a schedule for using the pods so that we gradually decrease until we're down to just stems.

    Cheers!

yeah when you run out cold turkey Imodium AD is a life saver. Also z-bars will help with the anxiety just be careful not to become dependent on the bars
