I never had any grow in. I wonder how common this is. Dentists always said I was lucky. Anyone else never have wisdom teeth grow in??

I've known a few people who never had all four grow in. Some only had the top set or the bottom set grow in. It is uncommon, but not unheard of.

Nature didn't supply a top set. Had to get the bottom set yanked.

All I know is if I did get them, I got ripped off on some other teeth. I've only got 28 teeth. Well, 27, but one's missing because it went rogue.

My top 2 came out when I was alate teenager and yanked when I was in my early 20's. My bottom 2 are still in my jaw and pointing forward. They never came out. I figure if they haven't bothered me in 58 years why should I go through all the grief of having them removed. Heres what they look like.

Two of mine are partially through, but they seemed to be okay now. Lucky, as dentists fill me with dread.

Mine were like that, only on 45 degree angles to the rest. So I had all four out at 18. Then I grew two more and had them yanked at age 30. I'm just lucky.

I do know people who had none, and others who have them still impacted.

3 of mine came part way in and 1 all the way. Because the 3 were getting infected the pulled them so I'm down to the one.

2 out in the chair on a Monday, 2 on the Wednesday after, when I was 17 or 18. At least one was impacted and had to be removed much as you would remove a broken brick at the bottom of a wall.

Damn, it hurt. And I threw up blood for the next 3 days.

An evolutionary change that is occurring as we speak, if you like. I doubt that in another 500 generations humans will HAVE these unneccessary teeth, just as we won't have appendices.

None of my wisdom teeth have grown in yet. I hope they never do, either!

only good thing about gettin em pulled is they usually give you good meds.

first he prescribed me vicodin than percocets. i barely used any of it and saved em for later :leaving:

My bottom wisdom teeth grew in sideways. I'm pretty sure the dentist had to shave off some of my jaw bone to get the motherfucker out. I was awake so I could feel and hear everything that was going on, when they were ripping out my teeth it sounded like a tree being uprooted.

I only had them on the right side.

I never walked with a gait but did have to have them removed. ;)

My mom's father never had any grow in. My mom only had two grow in. My father had all four grow in, my twin sister had 3 grow in and I had all four grow in. I had all four of mine pulled in and couldn't open my jaw enough to eat anything, so I pretty much just crushed vicodin and drank it through a straw for like a week. Great for short-term weight loss.

I got all mine out before they started growing in so I have no idea if they would have actually come out, I just didn't want to take any chances.

But my Mom has all four still and they have never grown out.

They made me take Vicodin and all it did for me was to make me throw up... which is super fun when you have four holes in your mouth! ;)
