Not Any More It Isn't, The OP Appears To Be Suffering From "Blat Flattery" Syndrome After Just One Post... Cheers Glen.
Booo. Who goes into the woods with a computer? Bowe knife, machete, box of matches and a first aid bag is all you'll want. Probably depends on how dangerous your woodland animals are but bleh, hacking paths through forests has to be more entertaining that foruming.
I agree/disagree. You beat me to the post on the first part, but hacking a path is the only worse thing I could think to do. That and hunt for fun/waste. I think this should temporarily be a thread about better things to do in the woods. -be -meditate -reside -smoke can-abyss -freerun
posting from the woods is fun. i need to get one of those phones that makes a mobile hotspot and my laptop.. posting from odd places is a fun thing to do` getting on chatroulette with a forest in the background will grab anyones attention
The answer to whom would be those wishing to communicate to a larger world. I am not visiting but have taken permanent residence off the grid using solar wind and wood.
Depends on what your purpose is. For me it is being close to what is really important, our own nature and our place in nature at large. The sunrise truly affects the quality of my days, I am intimate with the weather in ways that I am not in the city. I spent a couple of years out here a few years back and discovered that my telepathic powers were no where near sufficient to engage meaningfully as I discovered for once in my life, something to say. So my purpose is not to eschew the grid but to appreciate more fully, and be able to share more completely, showing up alive.
There's trees and then there's trees. Also, the point was when you're out in the wilderness, outside there's better things to do than Internet. When you see me post, I'm inside. Alright boy?
