How will you react if the candidate you were pulling for does not win the U.S. Presidential Election tomorrow night?
I'd make the most of it by trying to better myself through my own financial and survival needs. If he doesn't win, I'd suspect fraud and dead people and non-citizens voting to keep the status quo alive.
will it really matter? America is fucked up the poop shoot with either option, so my reaction will be pretty much the same regardless which fool wins.
Pretty much this. I just find it hard to care at this point. I mean, i care greatly about America going down the pooper, but not so much about either candidate. I find it funny people actually believe Trump will fix anything or cares about anyone or anything besides his own ego and his own wealth And i find it amusing that people believe Hillary will really push the Democratic progressive platform if it interferes in any way with her Wall Street donors' own agendas. But i will be watching the down ballot races closely. These are far more important this election than the presidency.
I usually vote Libertarian, so I'm used to my candidate losing. So I'll just go ahead and concede defeat now...
If I was in America and my candidate didn't win I'd probably go on living the exact same life the exact same way because of my experience with living and voting in 3 different nations I've never ever noticed anything change. Just another muppet at the helm. They're for the other politicians to deal with, not us. If we really could make a difference do you seriously think they'd let us vote? It's all bullshit. On the odd chance my life would differ then of course I'd stomp the ground and carry on with any sore losing antic I could come out with because I'm a winner and I don't like losing.
Whoever wins will decide who the next 3 or more Supreme Court justices are. And they will be there for a very long time. This is a big deal, as it will directly affect the laws of the American People. There are other big ramifications to this Presidency. But that one concerns me. We all should care, this is for our future and will affect our future generations. And as for World Affairs...Oh Boy!! That is, to quote a gaffe by our present VP, Joe Biden, "a big fucking deal". It really is. This election cannot be taken lightly. It may very well show just how corrupt our system really is, and may be a partial catalyst in my moving overseas. I don't like where our country is headed.
No matter what happens, the war on conservatism never ends. The fight for the rights of minorities and women goes on forever.
I suggest y'all go like those heroes of Japan. If you're going to lose, then jump off a cliff!! You do not want to live with what's about to come upon you.
I am happy with the results. If Trump didn't win I wouldn't be doing anything differently. Definitely not rioting. I didn't want Obama to win in 2008 or 2012 and when he did I just carried on.
You may not see it this way, but the choices between Obama vs. McKane and Obama vs. Romney were within the bounds of conventional American politics: liberals vs. conservatives--important but not the end of the world. This election has been different. As I see it, the choice was between a cold, calculating, predictable sociopath and a volatile, reckless, unpredicatlble one. We got the latter, which is why there is so much fear. I think we can hope for the best.. The U.S. government will now be completely controlled by the Republican Party, and I expect Trump to pick ultra--conservatives for the Supreme Court, go along with repeal of Obamacare, and probably support the Ryan plan for privatization of entitlements. I don't expect him to make America any greater again than it was at the close of the G.W. Bush administration, after two wars, torture, a monster deficit, and the 2008 recession. His economic plan, to the extent that there is one, seems to be the usual Republican tax cuts for the rich and trickle down economics for the rest of us, except for trade policy where he endorses a questionable protectionism. Despite all the populist rhetoric, Fat Cats will get leaner, skinny cats will get thinner, and the poor populist rednecks who supported Trump will be left holding the bag, as usual. Putin will probably come out ahead. If there's a wall, the U.S Taxpayers, Not Mexico, will pay for it. Let's hope Trump doesn't go nuclear, but being volatile and unpredictable does have the advantage that foreign adversaries won't know how he'll react to a provocation. I must say, I'm encouraged by the tone of Trump's and Hillary's acceptance speeches and Trump's meeting with Obama. I'm less encouraged by Giuliani's comments about not ruling out going after Hillary when he becomes Attorney General. i hope we won't have a return to the Republican Administration of Richard Nixon, with it's enemies lists. Giuliani is on the payroll of the Mercer Superpac, which also bankrolls the Breitbart Alt Right conspiracy crazies. But let's hope for the best. We'll survive, inshallah! Parenthetically, it really amazes me how many ultra-conservative posters there are on Hip Forums. What is the hippie tie? Drugs?
