It is here. What many speculated and wrote about in the past as mere fiction has arrived. People are receiving chip implants to gain access to an exclusive club in Spain, the Baja Beach Club.

It will be marketed as the trendy thing to do. It will be convienient, you won't have anything to lose, like your wallet and cards.

But this opens up a whirlwind of problems, obviously. Theifs, malfunctions, privacy..

    Will you say no?

    I for one say NO

I've never been one to follow the wagging tail in front of me.

Right now, it can be considered trendy because its voluntary. Later on, when your government makes it mandatory, you'll see a groundswell of opposition to it.

In the event of martial law being declared for whatever reason, you may not have a choice if you want to buy and sell goods. If you have a family to look after, you may have to submit to it to keep them fed, etc.

"They" know they can't chip everybody, and they don't need to. Just the majority. Those plugged into society the most.

The rest of us will be left to fend for ourselves in a world that considers us 2nd class citizens. And we'll be treated as such.

Submit, join us, and we'll welcome you into the family. Make your life normal again.

Refuse, be looked down upon the rest of your impoverished life.

It depends. If the chip would let me interface directly with computer systems as I would like to, then I would probably do it. If the chip was something that designated me as property of the bankers or the Government I would not do it.

It would probably allow you to do both.

You have to be aware that they are going to market this from every possible angle, from the trendy club goers to the geeky sci fi tech lovers.

But they will not tell you much about "property of the bankers or the Government" as you state.

But dogs can't vote or pay taxes or start protests.

The chip is all about control of the few over the many.

I believe the typical way was fine. Dog tags worked for years and there is no reason to switch.

    Yes they are. RFID implant.

They will also know your movements, and how you like to spend your money. Both of which could be used against you in the future.

Dogs are considered property under US law, I am no one's property. I thought we fought a civil war to end slavery.

They will probably require a chip impnant as part of any operation in a hospital; something about not mixing up the paitents while they are under anesthsia. or performing the wrong medical procedure.

Watch for this in any future health care bill.

I agree they will try to sell this to you through many formulas, the one you cite is the most probable.

you don't think it will be sold as the trendy thing to be in the in crowd?

Or that you never have to worry about losing debit/credit cards, papers, keys, ect?

I think it will be an all in one thing.

i hate to burst your bubble but slavery was not an issue that led to the civil war. the issue whether the US will have a strong or weak federal government. lincoln's emancipation was a tactic to disrupt the south's economy and hopefully gain some guerilla fighters.

once you've got a chip in you, you're a slave to the system. your id and money will be handled through that chip. if you protest or upset the system they'll just cut you off.

just say no to the chip.

You haven't burst my bubble, I am aware of the true reasons for the civil war, just as I am aware of the real reasons for the current wars in the middle east. But each was sold to the population in general as a honorable course of action. Neither were or are.

Just as the witch trials in Salem were not about protecting our souls, but more about obtaining the property of those accused and executed by those that wished to expand their holdings and power base.
