Hi I'm Sam, 19 year old male from Brighton, UK. I'm new to this forum but there's been a question bothering me for a while now. Where can I go? I need somewhere to live, is there any self sufficient communities i can contact some how, groups of people that have just left everything behind? I recently lost my job and I don't know if i'll ever get the chance to escape to anywhere again. I don't have much money but I'm a very hard working guy. Does anyone know anywhere? From hippy communties in California to a self sufficient village anywhere. I have a gret tent I can stay in and I'll work my arse off, I find it easy to fit in and I'm just sick of suburban England. I live at home with my parents but I dont want to burden them, i have a part time job digging holes and that. I just always think that i could be doing this anywhere in the world so why here?

So in conclusion, im a young hardworking guy looking for a community to have me on trial basis so i can prove i'll be a useful party in there group. Has anyone come across something like this, if so please let me know. Thank you, Sam

I think that you may have a hard time getting a work visa for the US.

There may be communes in Latin America and other places that might be easier for you to join.

I think www.ic.org has a listing of communes. You can also try posting in the communal living forum here.

What is the matter with where you are? Great place...the UK....

However, I wish you luck with whatever you want to do, Sam.
