    I attended the national gathering in New Mexico. Vision Council announced the 2022 Gathering
    will be in Colorado. It shall be the 50year anniversary.

    There's talk of that every year wherever the gathering is held. Colorado being the first state to legalize weed, things should be pretty mellow.

    That's a loooong road trip for me, so I will have to pass. Driving the Vizcaino desert is daunting in cooler seasons, but the summer is brutal...
    But the reward would be being with family and sharing the love :)

    Yes, especially considering how dirty people get. I plan to bring plenty of hand sanitizer and some body wipes, but that is no guarantee. I recommend not smoking pot with strangers, but of course that's bound to happen.

    On top of the covid fears, I attended the gathering in 2017 in Oregon and caught a stomach bug that went through it like wildfire. People who attended every year said that's not uncommon, the commitee would get water from a creek and filter it but didn't boil it, and people who were given the water would get a bad case of the shits. I recommend bringing plenty of your own water, I plan to bring a 5 gallon dispenser. Or else bring some water purifier tablets.
