You would think the government would be all over it. They could grow it, tax it and create new jobs. It would be a good thing....thats why they will never legalize it.

if he was to do something for the ganja he would wait until his second term if he gets re-elected. then hes got nothin to lose. I think he would be most likely to only do something for medicinal mary. Even that would be good progress though. Although it will be hard to do anything about that with pharmaceutical companies lobbying the shit out of congress to keep it from going medicinal. i dont mean to sound pessimistic, but dont get your hopes up

If he gets a 2nd term, he will try to decriminalize, not legalize. It would be political suicide to do it in his first term.

Medicinal Marijuana is federally illegal to grow and possess, but a lot of state government like in California actually override the federal law. As far as cancer patients and what not go.

 

A lot of states are decriminalizing. Hopefully, sometime during out lifetime, we will make Federal progress. I doubt it will be during his first term.

 

I highly doubt it. He's not as liberal as he used to be. The whole not-legalizing-gay marriage rights kind of tells me that he doesn't care too much for the pot heads of the nation, either.
