ive got a pacemaker for my heart because i was diagnosed with sick sinus syndrome and atriel flutter. I can smoke weed and be fine but i dont know what acid does to your heart rate. does it affect it directly ot just because of what you see?

lsd accelerates heart rate, but it can really accelerate it from anxiety...talk to your doctor, he knows better than me. but I say you shouldnt risk it.

your heart accelerates VERY fast on Acid, how do you ask your doctor that?? It's very illegal...

But have you checked online? When I do, it says no. Even to weed.

given your circumstances it would be very unwise to trip acid.take good care of your heart.its the only one you have.

It does? Are you sure? Or are you just posting how it feels on acid? Because actually marijuana makes your heart rate rise more than LSD does.

If only more drug users knew about something called "Doctor-Patient Confidentiality" :) In short, it is illegal for a doctor to report your drug use to authorities. He would lose his medical license. The only thing a doctor can report to authorities are if he has reason to suspect you are going to hurt yourself or hurt someone else. Financial crimes like drug dealing, or being a wallstreet snake, or having an addiction to prostitution, are covered under the professional guidelines of the medical community.

OP, I think if you are smoking weed regularly that acid should be fine for you, though I don't know anything about your condition and the existence of any serious problem in your heart (requiring a pacemaker!) is not something I would recommend to mix with drugs, especially pot. Pot is pretty heavy on the heart.

Side effects of pot include: Increase in heart rate, tremors (twitching), pupil dilation, anxiety, and some more... This is only while on the drug. And most of them sound more dramatic then they actually are. But yes, your heart speeds up very fast - I however don't know much about pacemakers, if they can handle high speed rhythms, like you were to experience in exercise you'd be fine. But I'd look it up

when i asked the doctor about marijuana use he just said it doesn't affect your heart directly and only your brain so its fine on my heart. My heart doesn't always go really fast on weed, just a few times when i do a lil too much sometimes, other than that i dont notice it. Unlike cocaine, from what ive heard just sends your heart haywire beating mega fast directly from the substance...i really want to experience a trip but i dont know if its worth risking it?

acid makes you feel speedy at times, but weed you can actually feel the heart pounding.

afib is NOT something i would want to experience on weed or acid. in fact just knowing i had it would make me focus way too much on my heart rate. The danger with a fib is you can throw a clot, but i suppose you are on beta b;ocker and blood thinners to help that.

If you have the pacemaker now, it's working to keep the rhythm going normally.

Without reading your chart, I wouldn't hazard a guess if it's okay or not. Like Mr. Writer said, a doctor or nurse cannot report your drug usage unless you're likely to harm yourself or others; it's called HIPAA.

maybe that guy is eating DOx thats why his heart rate goes up so much! haha i feel like my heart beats faster on things like molly, coke, adderall. I definatly notice my body temp rise and my heart rate beats a lil faster on LSD but nothing like taking an amphetamine

what writer said was that he doesn't recommend any drugs but pot messes with the heart a lot more than acid. i completely agree!

It's always best to ask a doctor, but there's no reason acid itself would interfere with a pacemaker. Acid can raise your resting heartbeat a bit, but this shouldn't be an issue. I mean if you're done anything remotely strenuous recently your heart beat rate has gone up.

Wouldn't your doctor highly recommend you not do acid just because its a controlled substance? I mean you must have one cool doctor if he/she can have a genuine conversation about LSD use.

I think that if you do it you'll most likely be fine, if you don't smoke during the trip and you don't focus so much on your heartbeat which may cause a panic attack who knows. It's all in how mentally prepared you are to calm yourself when your mind wanders in unforgiving territory.
