why?

why can't I just be a knight, wear some armour, decapitate peasants, drink som mead, kill some boars, ride a horse, and come home to my castle on my plot of land apportioned to my by my fuedel lord to my beautiful wife in her rennaisance garb and just live a faerie tale life? why can't it work that way? hell I'd be willing to be a lizard for it to work out that way, granted a 6'8" tall lizard with some massivly impressive powers but what's wrong with that, I'd still be cold blooded......


this has been a glimpse into my fantasy world if you have not comprehended this glimpse you may not be alone, if you have, and you have something similar then please post it, the world is only denying to dreamers because they are afraid to fight for their "outlandish" dreams......

renfests are temporary, innacurate, bastardized and most often full of fools that have no more skill with the weapons they buy and pretend than an ape, not to mention that most of the weapons at most ren faires are cheap ground pathetic mockeries of their hammered companions, with a proper hammered sword one truly could cut most swords people buy for "decoration" hilt from blade,

if even that were nesescary, the rarity of a true full tang blade is such that one would have to go to a great deal of effort to even find a sub par one....

The fest I worked in had several angelswords shops.. Those are real weapons.

most knights were half my width, but they could still cut someone in half with a 40+ pound piece of steel wearing at least 150 pounds of armour......

 

I think I might move to texas and start mass mailing people locations and descriptions.... depends on if a rumour I've heard is true... granted it would force quick action from their legislature, but it might be worth it......

I'd also carry it with me because people are less likely to mess with a crazy looking guy with a sword, and if they do I always have the option of nose removal......

 

Yeh, ive never seen why people like swords, guns are killing machines and have uses, i wouldn't want one but i can see why someone might. Sowrds are jsut outdated pieces of shit.
