Why you should try drinking grapefruit juice with oxycodone

Did some research in peer-reviewed journals (IOW legit shit). Here are my findings:

Try grapefruit juice with your oxy - whether it be Percocet, Roxi, OxyContin - for the same reason you should take it with your vitamins and never with blood pressure or cholesterol meds: it increases absorption and therefore potency.

Oxycodone has three main metabolites, the first two of which are not particularly notable: noroxycodone, noroxymorphone, and oxymorphone. Oxymorphone is four times more potent than oxycodone and can cross the blood-brain barrier like few other opioids can. It’s so good that it comes as a prescribed drug of its own, which you know as Opana or Numorphan.

Compounds in grapefruit juice called furanocouramins increase the blood concentration of both oxycodone and oxymorphone, and in half the time than without grapefruit juice. Yay!

Because of the higher potency, please avoid booze unless you have a (good) track record of concomitant opioid and alcohol use.

If you’ve never experienced oxymorphone, you can read up in the Erowid Vault.

And remember: Respect the drugs, or they’ll turn on you.

It also works with Hydrocodone fairly well. I've done it many times.

Yup! It increases the amount and absorption of the metabolite hydromorphone (Dilaudid). Grapefruit juice is a great potentiator for most benzodiazepines and opioids (e.g. codeine to morphine by way of norcodeine).

When I do it, I drink a lot of it, but I think a pint should do it. I drink it about 45min-1hr before I dose. As long as it's white grapefruit juice from concentrate it should work. It increases the intensity and duration of effect. Sometimes it works to well and flat-out puts me to sleep, but that could be something else at play, I'm not sure.

I always take my vicodin in the AM on an empty stomach and my coffee (never eat until about 1 pm every day)..seems to work well at making the pain stay away longer

The effects are apparently optimal if you drink a pint of juice once a day for 2-3 days before taking the pill, like preloading for opioids.

Vicodin and Dilaudid are more sedative (with less euphoria) for me than oxy, so to potentiate that effect ... any more than 10mg of either alone knocks me out. I only have to take one Norco and I'm set!

Dose heroin or other opioids act on the dopamine receptor as well?

I do this sometimes to help boost the pain med. For me it makes the oxy's stronger, not laster any longer. It does work! Yes you can get the juice pretty much at any local grocery or drug store. You may also want to try ruby red grapefruit juice. It's just as effective and has more flavor than the regular which can be quite bitter. You might want to try this atleast once, it helps alot.

I know about grapefruit juice. I was wondering if you could get the citicholine supplements in a drug store.
