Why was I banned? I am a little confused, because this site says "Hip Forums - 400+ Free Speech Forums" Free speech... I posted a question regarding why _chris_ was banned, as I would try to avoid doing whatever he did so as to not get banned. Then, yesterday, I notice that I am banned, and now I am not.. Again, I simply asked why he _chris_ was banned. That's all. Is that "illegal"? In any case, now I am asking why I was temporarily banned, as this is confusing. If the moderator would feel more comfortable, he could send me a PM.
asking about banning is grounds for bannign around here. I'd recommend asking friends in pm's what happened if you really need to know, instead of posting threads about it.
That no matter where you go or what you do there are rules, like it or lump it. Rules are made and set for consistancy and to prevent chaos amoung other things and this is just one of skips site rules.
If you disagree with how things are run here then set up your own site, pay for the bandwidth and run it the way you like. If you didn't notice, this is a HUGE site and must be very time consuming to moderate. Do you help run it? Do you contribute? Be thankful there is someone who permits you to participate in a site like this.
and we DO get tired of all the "why was ... banned" threads. like someone said, that's what pm's are for. the rest of us really don't give a piss about it.
this is a place of free speech though like any place of free speech, the free speech is limited only to those who have any power over the medium in which the speech is conducted
When you sign up, you agree to these rules....if you didn't read them, well, that's just silly of you, isn't it?
