We all acknowledge that there is a great deal of controversy concerning possible fraud in the upcoming elections. Why not simply take those steps we can legally take to insure that this doesn’t happen? It is quite possible to prevent such fraud, IF we take the appropriate measures.

Worried about voter registration issues? Become a poll watcher.

Worried about the electronic ballots? Set up an exit polling booth (or, better yet, booths). Try to get signatures of those taking the polls and videotape the proceedings around your booth (not the actual election site, which you must be at least 200 feet away from, but rather set a camera to shoot the booth itself and to verify each person’s signature). You might make every effort to get a notary public to come and verify the proceedings as well. Should there be controversy concerning the electronic ballot count, your records might be used in court to force a second paper vote.

Make sure you have many video cameras. IF the election in a district is rigged, someone will try to stop you. Get it on tape. If they try to take the cameras (and they probably will, if they are up to something) have another camera hidden somewhere to record the incident.

Take no chances. Use every legal means necessary to insure that elections are done fairly and that the count is not tampered with.

SURELY there must be enough people who are interested in this issue to mass the small army which it will take to do such a thing.

If you are a republican who is tired of hearing all this crap about conspiracies, volunteer to help with this effort. Then, when the elections are over and nothing has been tampered with, you can laugh at the “conspiracy nuts” all you want, because YOU will have helped to prove them wrong.

I’m sure there are other methods I haven’t covered and certain legal issues which will have to be researched, but we still have time to do this. We CAN make certain the election proceeds properly. Put your money where your mouth is. Stand up for what you believe is right and DO IT. Sitting around arguing about it only fans the flames and serves to further divide us on the issue. This can be a great bi-partisan effort. Let’s unite America with this project so that we never have to deal with this election controversy again.

It is widely agreed by people on both sides of the political spectrum that this may well be the most important election of the last century (possibly in the entire history of the country). Surely, if you consider yourself a "real american" and a "patriot" (whatever those words mean to you), then you really ought to consider spending a little extra effort on this single most important day to be a moral imperative. Prove to yourself and to the citizenry at large that we will tolerate no corruption. See to it that democracy is served.

Talk to everyone you know about this effort. Spread the word and enlist even those whose politics you don't agree with. This is our chance to show the world that we are united in our efforts to hold fair and democratic elections. Make no mistake, the rest of the world will be watching.

Many of the people here on the forums do more than bitch. You shouldn't assume that just because they still have time to post would mean they're all talk and no show.

Posts like this are almost pointless, unless they're directed at the kiddies.
