I don't smoke weed. Much. A couple of months ago I smoked some shit with my flatmate at like 8 in the evening. I didn't get out of bed until noon the next day, having missed two classes. I am a lightweight. When I smoke, I get completely retarded after just a couple of hits. I also get completely paranoid. One night many years ago we heard a policecar/firetruck/ambulance drive by with the alarm on. I was too high to know the difference. But it had been at least half an hour (my friends tell me) since we smoked. But when I heard the siren, I thought it was the Winter Park Fire Department coming because we had set off the smoke detector. I jumped up and started waving a blanket around. Everybody else was like, what the fuck, chill out. They aren't coming for us. And they weren't coming for us, I just get paranoid. So I don't particularly like to smoke. But, I don't like the government, or anyone else telling me what I can and can't do. The government should make laws to make shit illegal if that shit hurts other people. How does smoking, or shooting up or anything hurt other people. Drugs should not be illegal. In the same vein, my University recently said that you can't walk around campus smoking a cigarette outside because second hand smoke harms other people. What, outside?!?!?! Who the hell cares?!?!!??! Again, I only smoke when I drink, and I don't drink on campus, so this doesn't apply to me, but the MAN needs to get the fuck out of our faces. Now, I would be willing to write up a generic letter that everyone could send to their congressmen, representatives, governors, mayors, president, etc. Because I think that the war on drugs costs way too much in taxpayer money. Even the cops don't really want to be involved in this shit, because they are risking their lives over stupid bullshit. They don't really care. But they have to do their jobs. So let's change their jobs. I'm drunk and pissed off right now, because I just read about some guy in Inverness Scotland that got arrested for growing marijuana. He was growing marijuana because that is the only shit that helped him. The morphine that his doctor prescribed him don't work. I would love to hear the police explain how it's ethical to take away an old man's medicine, the only medicine that helps him with his busted back. But, yeah, I'm drunk right now, so if I'm rambling, please excuse. If I were to write a letter, like I promised above, it would be more concise, less emotional and written while sober. That might help with the convincing process. There are some people that really need marijuana. It's one thing to like it, but some people really need it, medically. Some people have been in accidents and are in such pain that they can hardly get through the day. Then they smoke some weed, and all is right with the world. So they decide to grow a couple of plants, because it gets expensive to buy the shit off the street. Then the police come in and arrests them for growing marijuana. I have just now sent an email to the DEA telling them that their treatment of old broken men and women is unethical. I truly believe that when these lords of the DEA go to face Saint Peter at the Pearly Gates, Saint Peter will read them the riot act about all the broken bodies that they condemned to a life of suffering. Then Saint Peter will send these DEA assholes to an eternity of suffering at the hands of Lucifer. As I said earlier I don't like to smoke, but I don't like the government telling me what I can and can't do. One of the reasons that I don't like to smoke, is because I am scared of losing my job over it. What the fuck does my employer care what I do when I go home, so long as I am cool and the gang when I get to work?? HUH?? Please tell me why my employer needs to know what I do in my house. Also, I don't like that the DEA spends millions of our tax dollars on this war on drugs. Also, I don't like that the prisons are full to the point of bursting. If we let the drug users out of prison we would have more room for rapists, murderers, child molesterers, violent bank robbers, violent home invaders, arsonists, fraudlent politicians, illegal immigrants, aggresive thugs that nearly beat the living shit out of some dude in a bar because he talked some shit. . . need I go on? I will be writing a letter to send to my governor, congressmen, representatives, the mayor of my town and who ever gets elected in this upcoming election. If a presidential candidate were to do two things I would vote for them no matter what. Those two things: 1) legalize drugs, at least marijuana and other soft drugs like 2C-I. I did some 2C-I about 6 years ago. And it was cool because I felt like I was tripping, but when I told people I was tripping they didn't believe me. I looked normal. I would also like to see MDMA legal. I did that once as well and had the best night of my life. Well, the best night that didn't end up with me fucking a girl. 2) The other thing I would like to see is the implementation of the metric system. Please God, let us get rid of this stupid feet, mile, ounce system that we have in America. You know that we are 1 of only 3 countries in the world that still has this stupid system in place. England and Australia mostly have the metric system, but there are remnants of the old stupid system in places. Anyways, sorry, I'll shut up now. I'm going to go have another cigarettes and go to sleep. Please, please, respond if you would like a generic letter that you can personalize and send to your politicians. Fawkes
Your drunken rants are a lot more sensible than mine. That being said, I pretty much agree with all of your above statements. The laws and rules don't make sense. Hell, even politicians like the now famous(?) Ron Paul have stood in national debates and said the same thing. And people have been saying it since the 60's! Any person who actually takes the time to look at the War on Drugs should instantly see that it has never worked. I could go on but it's like preaching to the choir. I'm just as baffled by the government's and society's defiance of logic as you are. Oh, but I'm in solidarity with England over refusing to use the metric system. Why make everything in the world the same? What is so wrong with cultural difference? edit - I've already sent letters, but hey, another couldn't hurt.
You don't know if you lke to smoke because you havn't smoked enough to know yet buddy. Smoke at least 5 more times and come back and tell us how you feel. K buddy.
2C-I is a synthetic phenylalanine (Comparable to mescaline). It is hallucinogenic and euphoric, and while it lasts, still legal (Arguably because of the Federal Analogue Act). I believe anyone should have the rights to do what they want with their bodies, it is no the government's choice.
I worked with a cop in training at a restaurant and he said a good reason that it isn't legal is because they can't road test it like alcohol.
