Why is nobody talking about Seymour Hersh's comments discussing Cheney's meeting with top neocon strategists to discuss ways to fabricate a pretext for war with Iran? Cheney talks about building some boats that look like Iranian PT boats, putting some Navy Seals on them, and sending them into the Strait of Hormuz to fire upon US ships. Here is what Hersh said: “There was a dozen ideas proffered about how to trigger a war,” Hersh explained. “The one that interested me the most was why don’t we build — we in our shipyard — build four or five boats that look like Iranian PT boats. Put Navy seals on them with a lot of arms. And next time one of our boats goes to the Straits of Hormuz, start a shoot-up.” Why is the media ignoring this? That is a rhetorical question, but still. This is exactly the type of staged provocation that got us into Vietnam with the Gulf of Tonkin, which has since been admitted to be a total lie. Here is video of Hersh talking about Cheney's plan to stage a false flag attack on American military: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slgBrbNXrbs
Because it's the long weekend, and everyone is up at their cottage by the lake. Oh yes, and it's an election year.
Yeah, the volume is not great. Just turn it up all the way and you should be able to hear it with no problem.
In case anyone is wondering, Seymour Hersh is a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist who writes for the The New Yorker and many other major publications, and has been a household name in journalism for the past four decades. He came to prominence in 1969, during the Vietnam war, for exposing the My Lai Massacre and its coverup.
Because, we've been told rolleyes these people are just puppets, it doesn't matter what they say. Beside's it's hearsay, who cares.
Exactly, Hersh is just another corporate shill that answers to the globalists that control the media. Anything he reveals they want to reveal. Its all part of a Hegelian dialectic, anyone who can't see that needs to do some reseach and stop watching Fox news.
I think if the globalists wanted it revealed, it would be receiving some more coverage. After all, this is pretty earth-shattering news to most people. But once again it is being blacked out, proving the US media is no better than the state run media of communist China. Sure, Hersh is pawn of corporate media. Anyone who works in corporate media is. Still, Hersh is a step or two above the rest. He often brings things to light which are often ignored by the rest of the media. Isn't it rather ironic that, when I post something from an alternative news (or as Pepik would say "conspiracy") website, it is immediately ridiculed without even being examined. When I post something from a well-respected and established mainstream journalist, he ignores the content and finds some sort of diversion to avoid having to address the issues. How convenient for Pepik (I mean, Hiptastic).
Actually what you don't like is when we examine it, rather than swallowing it without question like you do. Your theories don't hold up well to even casual examination. Also I thought the idea was to derail every single debate and make it about your precious conspiracy theory, why are you complaining? I'm just using your standard logic to prove that everyone except me is brainwashed sheeple and only my way of looking at the issue is the correct way. Are you saying you don't like someone doing that to your topics? POT KETTLE BLACK
First of all, you don't understand the Gulf of Tonkin incident. It was not a false flag, it was not staged. There were two incidents, two days apart, the second probably didn't happen. However I can see a parallel with the current situation with Iran - using provacation, the US could try to get an attack by Iranian forces which they could then respond to. The Gulf of Tonkin attack, at least the first one if it did happen, were a result of provacation - both sides were repeatedly provoking each other. The irony is that it is Iran that has been provoking the US so far, so although the parallel is there in theory in practice is has been working the opposite way. As far as the substance of Hersh's claims, if you knew his work a little better you'd realise he's fond of wild claims in speaking engagements, but when it comes to print he sticks to what he can actually back up. http://nymag.com/nymetro/news/people/features/11719/ I think Cheney is the worst member of a appallingly bad administration. I loathe him. I can see him trying to provoke an attack, trying to come up with casus belli, but this is too far fetched. But for the type of people who think nuclear bombs went off in the WTC this probably has them crapping their pants.
No, you use the interrogative tense for the third person. I thought you lived in Montreal? It's "Touchez!"
