Does anybody know what a google actually is?

Correct if wrong, but I think it's the word known for the largest group of numbers. Well past trillion.

Ads on Youtube annoy me more

used to be one ad every 1/2 dozen videos, nowadays seems to be every video

isn't that kind of like being blackmailed?
(which is what 'moneterizing'/privatizing/making everything have to be about little green pieces of paper, is anyway?)

no, they are providing a service and you are compensating them for their time and efforts.
blackmailing would be a person that creates viruses on websites and then creates an antivirus company and charges for it.

Makes you wonder why there isn't a real time streaming bitorrent type app.

I mean it's just a file on someone elses computer, apart from speed, makes no difference whether its on YouTube servers or Joe blows hard drive.

Or maybe that's the next big thing, and it will wipe out things like Netflix and commercial TV like bittorent wiped out the music industry ..... and the only thing that's stopping it at the moment is still the data costs and speed for every Joe blows computer

What does happen when we get to 1 TB/s be the standard speed for every home user

Probably what we are headed for...probably would wipe out YouTube and Google at the same time.

Facebook too, you dont really need it on their servers, just a standard social media scripting language

while being too lazy to google it, my best recollection is that it's a number with 101 digits. so, a one followed by 99 zeros.

not necessarily the largest. for one thing, numbers are infinite. but i don't think it's even the largest named group. i think a googleplex or something like that was supposed to be a one followed by 1000 zeros.
