I had a stoner thought, and ive come to this conclusion. If weed were legal, everyone would be smoking it and screwing up on daily activities that effect our lives such as ordering from a fast food place, driving while stoned(alot of people will be "SO FUCKING HIGH" they will drive wreckless. What im trying to say is, alcohol is fine by being legal because most people use it to party and not for daily activites. But if weed were legal, people would use it in thier everyday life and make the world a worse place than it already is. Im perfectly fine with breaking the damn law everytime i wanna blaze, sure it would be cool walking down the street with a J, but making weed legal also sorta takes out the "rush" by having it/breaking the law etc etc. And no, i dont fucking smoke weed because its illegal and cool, im just making a point. Opinions?
well, wouldnt there still be laws against driving while stoned... im sure ppl would ban it everywhere (they have banned smoking tobacco in most indoor public places here)... work, i would think companies would still drug test n such, there would be bosses out there not wanting a stoner image in their workplace.
visine won't make ya sober. if weed was legal, a balance would be found for some, and others would abuse it-the way it is with alcohol. the fact is, it grows from the earth and our bodies belong to us. it shouldn't be illegal-in my opinion.
Employers wouldn't be legally allowed to test for THC if it was legal. It would be a violation of our rights. They would still test for other drugs that were still illegal, but they wouldn't be able to test for THC. I think weed should be legalized. Imagine being able to buy it in the store or from a friend for a fraction of the price you get it for now. You could buy it already rolled up in a pack of marijuana cigs or a pack of White Owls or Dutch Masters that have already been stuffed with weed, and they won't be much more than we get regular cigs and cigars for. Imagine going to a restaurant or a store and buying food that has been prepared/cooked with weed. Also, imagine how our economy would benefit, financially.
agh, ya i guess your right TNS, buying weed in a store for a low price would be sick. Lagalization has its pros and cons, just like most things in life.
If it were legal, driving while high would still be considered a DUI like it is now. Yes, you can actually get a DUI for driving stoned. Honestly, if it were legal, I think the people who smoke now would still smoke and the people who don't smoke now would still choose not to smoke. Sure there would be some who would start, or stop, because it's been made legal, but the majority as a whole would stay in place. It most likely wouldn't be much different than the way things are now.
Well just think of EVERYONE who drinks alcohol just because its legal and everyone who doesnt smoke just because its illgal. Thats why i think alot more people would smoke if it were legal.
Well ask yourself this; how many people do you see walking down the street sapping a bottle of Jack Daniel's?
i think the last point made by smokindude is valid, kids growing into adults tend to get into drinking, imo because it is legal and a cultural thing to do. so if it were legal, that many people would just unconsciously get into it. i'm not sure whether i think it should be legal.... a actually i take that back, whoever said our bodies were our own was right on, we should have the freedom to do anything with our own selves, especially if it is not harming anybody else.
thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard, of course it should be legal. I dont feel like going to jail if i get caught with bud.
I disagree. The fact that marijuana is illegal isnt enough to make peaople stop smoking it, it only makes it easier for underage teens to get ahold of it through illegal drugdelears. If pot was legal, there would be somkind of supervision on who it is being sold to, at least. Making sure teens no longer affect their development by premature marijuana smoking. That's not to talk about the fact that it would be much easier to get high quality weed for everyone, minimizing the amount smoked and maxmizing the effects making it even healthier this way. At the same time the risk of buying ganja that is laced or cut with some other shit (in the case of hash) would be inexistent. I can boldly and proudly affirm that the world would DEFINITLY be a better place if pot was legal.
and it would be easier to grow your own a great time for smokers everywhere. but if you dont have the patience to grow it would be really cool to buy a big bag from the local ghandi mart
ah, but that is vegas. i cant legally pick up a hooker in bumsville idaho, but i can in vegas. vegas isnt the best example of a model city. (now is where i plug the marijuana-louges)
dude if weed were decriminalized imo the world would be a better place. all the innocent kids who just smoke a little pot and mayb sell a little bit on the side get busted with over an oz, felony posession, and their whole life is ruine, they cant get into the college they want to, they cant get a prestigous career. pot affects your life in a negative way only when the pigs are involved. i SAY FUCK PIGS AND DECRIMINALIZE. some of the best and brightest of our generation have been locked up and turned to a life of crime rather than helping us to progress. just from smoking pot.......................... shitty system blue skittle
The only reason I'm kinda glad that weed is illegal is that I would hate to see what commercialization of weed would do to it. Think of all the chemical shit that a company like Phillip morris might add to weed like they have with tobacco. Of course having a weed garden in the ole back yard wouldn't be so bad and would provide a nice little out for the above stated problem.
Another advantage of the decriminalization of weed is that young and impressionable stoners won't have to come in contact with the criminal element just to get some bud. The fact that it is illegal means we, sometimes, have to get it from people who are selling other, more dangerous and addictive drugs. Sooner or later, the dealer will try to sell a customer those other drugs, even though they just want weed, but curiosity gets the best of them, and they start experimenting with other shit and end up as junkies. If weed were legal, it would no longer be associated with those other drugs and people would never have to even see the other shit anymore, because they could just go to the store and get a pack of White Owl XL's for $3.99 with 3.5g of weed prerolled in each blunt or they could just grow their own and never have to come in contact with the dealers that try to sell them other shit.
