why dont glass pipes need screens?

 

they make glass screens. htey are little glass pieces that looks like a 3 sided thingyn you play jacks with
remember that game?

one side goes into the hole and the other 2 sides hold the weed up.

 

I think I need to get a screen. I get scooby snacks big time with my pipe.

I dont have the answer for why a glass pipe needs a screen. My glass pipe works fine without a screen, I think the key is to pack the bud extremely tight.

 

blossums right, with alot of glass pipes you risk getting a fireball, i remember smoking out of a glass spoon wiht a couple friends and it cached before this guy alex's hit and he took his hit and the flame lit the ash on fire and shot it into his mouth, he was coughing for like 10 minutes.

that is the worst thing!! I hate getting shit in my mouth when I smoke. that and getting burned make me SO mad. I don't know how many times I've said "I quit smoking this shit" because of that. But I never do.

I only have one glass screen for one of my bigger pipes. the rest of the them work fine without a screen.

 

I hate glass screens... they basically block the hole. I put screen in glass bowls. The mesh doesn't inhibit the flow of air into the bowl... most glass screens do. Most bowls have small holes in the bowl anyway... no need to make a bad thing worse. In general i avoid store bought pieces, they tend to work poorly. The artists focus on making it look pretty and the functionality is put on the back burner. most of my homemade pipes and bongs don't look too great, but they work better than any store bought piece i've ever used.

 

you make a valid point glass can be a bit troublesome compared to acrylic and metal.

If you have a nicely blown glass piece, you shouldn't need a screen. They are pointless as far as i am concerned.

thats why i hate using pipes. shit gets in your mouth, and they dont taste as good. Roll a blunt. And if you need a screen, take one from the faucet. Some pipes dont even need rushholes. When my brother bought his he didnt realiz eit had no rush hole and then he was like "lets try it out and if it doesnt work well return it." Its a nice piece though.

 

I don't see what the big deal is... just smoke the thing cautiously with your lips somewhat closed with them open enough to bring in smoke. Glass bowls rule.

glass is the way to go I would never buy a metal or acrylic pipe. as for the weed going through, just dont break it us as much. If its not in bud form i roll a j

 

dude u all just need to buy your self nice glass bubblers. you never get scoobs and they hit just as good as any bong(mine does atleast)

 

I have a glass bubbler and I love it.

 

i used my glass bubbler last night for ht first time, it was awesome..sooooo smooth, cant compare to the monster hits of my acrylic bong tho
