N.C.? Well, after living here 4 previous times, and not wanting to move again after retirement, it was easier to just squat right here. We planned on heading back to Texas where we were before, but realized we have everything we need right here, and the family is content with being here. It’s not such a bad place, honestly.
I moved here to be close to my only sibling, my brother, who had terminal cancer, died aged 38. Stayed here ever since.
No particular reason. Never had a dream location. Sometimes when I'm gone I miss the wide open fields, though.
Privacy Wild birds Quietness Wild animals Low property taxes Kick ass law enforcement On the spot Fire/Emergency responders
I am just lazy, perhaps having worked in London all my life and owning the house that my family have lived in since it was built in 1887 is also part of the reason.
Nice, I don’t really care for big city living myself. I’ll bet it’s cheaper to live in NC than Texas. Aww, RIP Are you from there? That’s why most people are where they are. Nice, what kind of wild animals are around you? I wish someone would leave me a free house. I’ve always wanted to go there, are you in an apartment in the sky? Everyone has their reasons, what’s yours for living where you live?
I live where I live exactly for the reasons I said not to mention in the OP... Family, friends and my job. I’m not particularly fond of my immediate area. The cost of living is too expensive and there’s lots of crime. I dream of moving somewhere else one day. But I know the grass isn’t always greener. Every place has its pros and cons.

I Remember A Few Months Back You Said You Should Have Done More Research Before You Moved There....... .......What Are Your Chances Of Being Able To Move Again...???... Cheers Glen.
