ya there was this program about 'chavs' i was just watching. and to be honest i havnt realy got any idea what the point was that they where trying to make. apart form that all middle class put down and hate chavs, and that everyone who isnt middle class must be a chav. it was saying how chavs had originated from the 70s when i have heard the word for the first time a couple of months ago, at my old school we simply know them for being rude. it was saying that chav was a life style, and that newspaper headlines and books where victimising them and putting them down. chav isnt a lifetyle its the attitude that nobody wants. all it was, was some girl with a bunch of middle class people saying that they where snobs, and talking like chav is the new grunge. the thing is tv can put across any petty view and make it out to be a social fact, so why sutch a lame tv show dividing up people and making them enimys? [i didnt have any mane point!]
We've always had a habit of classifying people either by how they look or how they behave. Not all Chavs are rude, some of my mates who go to spurs would have to be described as chavs because of how they dress but they're not following a particular lifestyle and don't go out of there way to be rude or aggresive. In contrast I went to Henley Regatta last year and saw some absolutely appalling behaviour by so called posh people. They were in uniform too, stripey blazers and boaters. Take your pick. If you can break through the barriers we're all individuals.....
the lesson to learn from all of this is that it's not about fashion or money or race or background...everyone is shit...
ye exactly, so why put sutch shit on tv? why make an entire tv programe about some street lable that no one realy cares about. [some people care about it....cocks.]
