why do some people like baths and some people like showers more?

i like baths more but only cos i like to lotion after just before bed.
if i have a shower i do NOT feel like lotion, i just go straight to bed instead.
my theory is that if you shower you got to use a lot of energy cos you are rushing (rushing cos if you shampoo/soap slowly then you are in for a long time and it hurts the water bill) and so you end up being wornout and have no energy to do anything else before bed.

any thoughts? which do you like/why?

I like showers, because a bath makes my skin all wrinkly.

I prefer showers because the first thing you do in a tub is stick your butt in it then wash with the water that has rinsed your butt.

    I prefer a shower.
Showers are quicker in the morning.
Who runs themselves a bath before they go to work?
Showers use less water (on average).
You don't have to sit in your own grime.
I love the steam generated from a shower.

I didn't take a bath for years but recently started taking baths instead of showers. I don't like to wash my hair everytime I bathe and even if I don't wash it in a shower it still gets wet and then it gets tangled and takes forever to brush and dry. So lately I've only taken showers if I need to wash my hair. Otherwise I just throw it up in a bun and take a quick bath.

I go through phases where I'll be on a shower kick for a while. And then all the sudden I start taking baths for a while... then showers.. then baths.... so, I guess both depending on what type of mood I am in.

showers, by the time you get the temperature to where you're not getting 3rd degree burns or pneumonia chills, the hot water has run out.

in a tub the water mixes as its coming in and you can sit in there and get it just right, and there's no time constraint anxiety, like with the running out of hot water thing.

Something about taking a bath makes me shudder with disgust. I wish I was exaggerating.
Unless the tub is brand new and immaculately clean. Even then...

yeah, I think everyone likes baths, they just get grossed out or it's too much work to prepare a bath..
    showers are quicker

I wish I could take baths everyday and I didn't have such bad ocd that would allow it (tubs gross me out too)..
    baths are relaxing

then again, I love going in the hot tub here and it's a public hot tub..
    hm

    ha, I wish..

I live in a retirement community and you'd think some of these older folks would like to use the hot tub, but you know what, I'm one of very few people that use it

I'm not even 30 yet and my neighbors are all 70 & 80 yrs old..
