Well, lemme start out by saying tonight i smoked my first cig in a month or so and lemme tell ya, it made me feel so good for about 30 min. im not talking about a high, just idk. The head rush for about 10 minutes also made me not be able to walk for a few minutes without falling down or tripping. So i ask why negate the effects of tobacco by smoking it ALL the time? To me that just takes away the positive effects you could be feeling when ya smoke a squizzy. I love smoking cigs, but only occasionally. Its like that time when i just chill, smoke a butt, and just think of my life and past expiriences, like my recolletion time. I love it.
thats what i think, my mum, grandma and pretty much most of my family smoke a pack a day, i smoke cigs sometimes, yes but ive never been addicted to them, been smoking for over 1 year, like in a few days ill smoke a 10 pack, then i wont smoke for like a whole week etc etc. when im drunk tho, i smoke loads, never addicted, easily stop, and i dont even crave any- i just wana smoke to get the buzz and relax if i have some :/
I wouldn't know. I don't smoke cigs. I will, on occasion, have a nice cigar. (just a regular cigar... not a blunt) I tell you what, I can go through a few dutchies when I'm having a drink.
man the only reason I smoke is because im addicted, I dont even know why I started in the first place, but every pack I finish off I say is my last, only to realize Im sweating like crazy that afternoon and craving to the point where I jus get more of em.
Addiction means you don't get to choose when you want to smoke.. once it starts, you'll want to smoke every thirty minutes or you'll get your usual withdrawal symptoms.
Yeah I was just going to say, you don't choose to be addicted.. nicotine is an addicting drug. If you can smoke without getting addicted then more power to you, but I personally am going to avoid cigarettes because it doesn't seem worth that risk to me..
But thats the thing, people usually started smoking when they didnt have a mature view and smoked loads to look cool and then helplessly lost themselves to the addiction of nicotine. True story
ever notice the difference between manufactured cig. tobacco and roll-your-own tobacco? manufactued tobacco gives you a killer head rush/high whereas roll-your-own really doesnt that much. makes you realize that SOMETHING is giving you that head buzz - chemicals and additives. one time i was driving and smoked a hash joint that was in essence, a non-filtered cigarette with hash mixed in. that was one of the few times that i said to myself, "I should not be driving right now" because of the buzz i got from the tobacco. wasnt even from the hash (yet) because it came on too quick and eventually left. nicotine fucks you up in a weird way. i used to smoke on occasion, usually when drinking. even then, i would never buy a pack but rather bum them off people. that was also another tactic for not smoking that much - always asking people for one, never buying them. since i felt like an asshole ALWAYS bumming them from others, it would make me think twice about it. now, i dont smoke. i´ve had only one night in the past few months where i smoked cigs and i hated it. it increases your hangover (2nd hand smoke will, too) and it kills my throat. if you dont smoke, dont start. it´s really not worth the trouble.
^^ im with ya on the bumming thing lol i did it but then i started feeling like a prick every time i did so i quit but my friends are some pretty kool ppl to be around and will almost always offer me a cig if they are smokin one but ive went over 3 weeks without any so im doin pretty good
idk, I've smoked butts on and off for about a year and a half and I've never had any problems. I've never felt like I 'needed' a cig, but it's true that sometimes nothing is more relaxing. I realized that I just enjoy smoking things -- pot, cigs, cigars, hookah -- and cigs are a easy way to fill that fix. Obv. getting addicted is a risk, but if you're smart and responsible it's easy to avoid. Just don't let yourself chain-smoke them, and when you first start limit yourself to 1 or 2 a day, and I really think you won't get addicted. I go through a pack in about three or weeks-- that's about 1 a day. So ya i agree with the first poster, they're great as an occasional relaxant. Just don't become dependant.
ive never been addicted because i only smoke cigs after i smoke too much weed(idk why but it really mellows out the high) but thats the only reason i smoke straight up cigarettes usually i just get camel wides and make jibs(cig unpacked and repacked with weed) just cause they are really discreet.
