Why are you on this forum?

Why did you join the forum and what do you like about it?

 

Because I wanna meet other people who are a bit the same like me , and I really like how its organised , if you like art you can go on that part on the forum , and if you're dutch you can go on the dutch side of the forum ...

 

I Joined because It is a wonderful place with alot of Wonderful People. It's a place whare I can Show my feelings witohut being made fun of out in the Real world. And I can make many freinds who have the same Veiws That I do. Hipforums is the Best .

Um....I don't really know ^.^ because I'm a vegetarian, hindu, peace-freak and i like bands that some of my friends haven't even heard of and I need somebody to talk to about all this stuff. I'm pretty sure I was a hippie in my most recent past life.

 

I was bored in science once, so I started looking at hippie clothes and stuff on the Internet and showing my friends how cool they were..and this link came up and when I got home, I searched for it again and decided to join and then I didn't really come on it much until recently when I was looking up stuff and just came on it more and more, I tend to just read what people write though

I agree with what YoungHippieDream said, about the organisation being good,

 

i joined through peer pressure, see i'm not really a hippie but in high school all my friends were so through their influence i began assimilating myself into this counter culture of sorts...but really i just love the people

 

i was annoyed by the censorship in another forum i regularly go to. i googled "forum" but that was too many links so i googled "hip forum" as in "in forum" and i got here. and then i started reading the "love and sex" forum and thought "whoa u can talk about anything and mods dont shut u up".

and hippies make me laugh.

 

I ran a crossed it at work one day after several of my coworkers said they spend time on forums when they have thing all caught up. After searching a few different forums this one was the most welcoming and had things I could relate to more then the others. I am not really a hippy. But everyone is so welcoming and willing to be up front with you. Oh and the organization is great to if you need to find a certain type of thread fast.

 

I have a friend who is a member and one night he was over here and showed me the site. I thought it looked pretty cool. I really enjoy learning how other people's minds work. I like getting different points of view.

A friend in our small community has been Hip Foruming for a couple of years, but since I am not very computer savvy, I avoided trying to figure out how it works. Then one day I decided to give it a try, realized it was quite easy,(and I loved the purple background), and now I just love to come on and share, and hear other peoples points of view. We are rather isolated in the country, and I really have no friends other than my life partner and one other person. This forum gives me a chance to communicate with others on so many topics. I love it. !!!!

 

I came here to read and sometimes respond to topics in the religion, music, marijuana, and psychedelics forums. But I chose this forum in particular because I can relate to it.

 

I'm hippie. Don't much advertise it and try to remember my traditions and culture. I think I typed in hippie during a google search and came to this spot. Have read some interesting stuff and disagreed with a lot of things. I don't think there's been much growth for me here... but it's a relatively agreeable place to come to.

lifestyle cuz someone i really like is a hippy..anyway i like being here i can relate
to some things..the things that are not interested to me i just dont read lol..its great

 

I came on because it looked rather cool, and because I'm an old hippie. Lately though it has been going through some lame changes, like closing a 324 page thread because the name didn't match the content. I mean WTF? So I haven't been doing many new posts in new threads. Still, I like most all the people here.

 

Because i'm bored and most people seemed to be pretty chilled here

 

I practice my English while exchanging threads about topics which interest me... music, life etc...

 

I live in an isolated place too and found this forum accidentally while searching for something political.

The views on this forum do not always match my own - but that's part of the joy of interacting. The fact that the board doesn't bleep out "potty mouth words" helps a great deal too, since I live where most ADULTS won't even say "shit" - they will say "poo". The last couple of forums I regularly visited censored too.

I'm not one who swears a GREAT deal - but golly gee wilikers gosh darn it there are times when the energy of a finely placed four letter word will do wonders for getting a point across. I HATE to have that bleeped out of my posts!

I'm here because the people seem to be cool and intelligent, often funny and helpful - I like that we range in age from 16 to 60 too.
