why are guys so nice to bitchy girls?

I've always wondered this throughout my entire life, why do guys go out of their way for girls who are mean, highly demanding and just plain bitchy.
I just thought of this from seeing my roommate's boyfriend and all the things he does for her and how she treats him. It kinda reminded me of highschool. I've never been able to understand that.

 

Because the guy thinks he'll get some... the possibility of sex is a powerful tool that makes some guys put up with major bullshit. Is your roommate good looking? If so, the boyfriend thinks that she's worth the aggravation even if he doesn't rate any higher than a wardrobe accessory to her.

Not particularly. I guess I find her uglier because of how ugly her personality is.

 

I do agree that character far outshines looks.

Really it's up to the guy to draw the line. Perhaps he thinks she is his only chance at a relationship.

 

If I would compare my roommate to her boyfriend based on looks, I would say they are about equal, and he's a great person.
I mean he comes helps us move, comes another day, builds our furniture, goes and help her with her events at the college, brings her flowers, just bought her this really nice coat. I just feel sad for the guy, he's so nice and he really cares for her and I KNOW her and I know she doesnt, she's actually still talking to her ex boyfriend who happens to be a good friend of mine too (who is again a really nice guy who puts up with all of her crazy shit) and I dont understand it.
Do guys like it when girls go crazy, become completely unreasonable and are never satisfied?

Maybe he has self-esteem issues... other than that, maybe guys like that are just idiots.

If I start acting crazy and bitchy I definitely don't expect my boyfriend to put up with it.

honestly? most of them rate as accessories for one another as someone mentioned earlier. they look pretty on the others arm, and put up with that shit to be with someone they find physically attractive

same reason good looking girls suck up to ass hole guys. diversity is the nature of reality and there's no accounting for human taste or gullibility.

there's no ONE reason in either case. i think a culture that romantacizes and rewards aggressiveness has something to do with it though. along with screwing up a lot of other things at the same time.

it's true. i like being a bitch in bed and nice the rest of the time. it's a better focus of my personal energy. you can cook a decent meal or iron a shirt right if you're feeling bitchy. you can, however, have a fantastic time in bed.
