My name is Kerry and i have a boyfriend named James James just turned 16 and i'm 15 so for jame's birthday i decided to do up the party really nice i found this really awesome resort right on an amazing beach with dirt bine racing and a spa a massive aracade with free play its great right so i booked a few rooms for me him and a few of our friends i bought him a ps4 and a copy of Destiny an our friend bruce bought him an iphone 6 me and a bunch of the girls bought him a new suit AND SHINED HIS FUCKING BOOTS AND WHAT THE FUCK DO I GET AT THE END OF THE DAY? I GET BADGERED FOR SEX AFTER I TOLD HIM NO! here's what went down so me and james are in the V.I.P Suit cuddling on the bed he's being so kind and gentle the perfect end to the perfect day and than he has to go and ask for sex which you know fine he's a guy i get it i kindly and calmly tell james that no we cant have sex yet as I don't wanna risk getting pregnent at 15 and than i swear he says the stupidest thing EVER UTTERED BY A HUMAN EVER "come on baby just do this one thing for me" ONE THING ONE THING WHAT THE HELL IS ALL THIS?!?!?!?! am i being overly dramatic am i being an asshole?

I think that there's a disconnect between the seriousness of having sex and the list of gifts james received. I have to tell you, I'm 30 years old, and neither me, nor anybody I have ever known, has received gifts this splendid for their birthdays or christmases combined . . .

you (and some friends) got him a FEW rooms at a resort with dirt bike racing, free arcade games, a ps4, destiny, an iphone6, a new suit, and you shined his shoes? Do you on some level understand that this list can comprise the entire lifetime gifts that some people receive? This sounds more appropriate for a 40th wedding anniversary than a 16 year old birthday party. Truly you must be one of the 1% richest people on earth.

So then he wants to have sex with you, which is completely natural, because he's your boyfriend, and you've just showered him with unfathomable material wealth and affection . . . so to him it's obvious that you are just BANANAS for him, and it's time for you two to connect and make love. Your reason for not wanting to is pregnancy, but this makes no sense in the age of condoms, spermicide, plan B, and safe legal abortions (should you win the unlucky lottery). You flip out because he asked politely for you to do it with him? Was that so outrageous on his part? He obviously is a guy who gets what he wants, wouldn't you say Kerry? Wouldn't you say you are a source of this attitude he has?

Have you thought that maybe what he wanted was a night of passion with you instead of all that material crap?

Do you think maybe you sent a message that was way, way, WAY too strong for someone your age?

despite being named james james, this guy still has it made. apparently he's rich as shit, his girlfriend is rich as shit, and all his friends are rich as shit. it's like one of those tv shows about teenage angst, where every kid happens to be worth 17 million dollars or more.

 

Actually I have noticed that people I that age group just give and expect gigantic presents nowadays.... I was working with a young girl recently who bought her boyfriend a similarly ridiculous amount of stuff for his birhday. My younger brother also wanted to spend about 300 dollars on his girlfriend for her b day a few years back until my mom talked him out of it. And it's not like any of these people really could afford it.

I know it's sad, but I don't think it's unusual anymore.

On the other hand I don't think it's right for a guy to push after he's been told no, no matter what the circumstances are. Saying "just do this one thing for me" as if she hasn't been working her ass off for him all day IS being an asshole. You shouldn't be trying to guilt women into having sex with you.

Also her choice not to have sex, and her reasoning are fine. Some people don't want to have abortions. And im not just talking those fucking pro lifers. Abortions can fuck you up and make you feel sick for quite a while in some cases and no birth control is a 100% sure thing.

Let's say your Parents can and did afford all those BS gifts for your 16 yr old boyfriend. We know YOU didn't actually buy them, they did. Would it be possible for you to borrow some more money and buy some periods or question marks or even some exclamation points for any future posts. I know they ( . ? ! ) can be expensive but I am sure they will be cheaper then 2 rooms at a resort, with unlimited venue activities for a bunch of 15-16 yr olds.

Agreed 100% with this. Everyone at any age has growing to do but 15yr olds in particular have lots to learn and are stuck somewhere between being a kid and becoming an adult.

Yeah it sounds like James has a pretty good thing going for him. He's not being an asshole; he's just being practical. He wants to be with you forever, and at 16 he knows this for a fact or otherwise why in the hell are you shining his shoes?? Obviously he is fucking awesome, and you don't want to have his baby??? Are you sure it's not you who is being the asshole? You can't tell someone they are the most financially stable person in the universe and simultaneously tell them they're not ready to be a father. I can't imagine a better scenario for your baby, than to have James as a father.

I'd like more information. Is James uniquely this cool or does everyone you know get such lavish birthdays? If everyone does, I can understand your reluctance to have a baby at such a young age. Or is it that you just can't believe someone is this awesome and also named James James? Because if that's the case, trust me, this guy is awesome. You don't want to miss out on being the mother to this guy's children.

This is probably one of the only relationships you'll have in your life where you can continuously turn down his advances for sex and its not weird. Such an innocent time in life.

Assholes tend to have certain qualities that women find attractive, such as being highly motivated and a willingness to take the lead.
