Maybe there's a part of your Mom that's fed up with being an adult and this is her way of connecting with her inner child?

Being sick of adulting is fairly common past the age of 28, by then most people figure out it's all bullishit.

I have a bunch of adult coloring books. It's really relaxing and it gives me time to just unwind and forget about stressful things. Plus it's very therapeutic for me too.

I prefer the velvet kind. It's beautiful furniture. Glitter and fluorescence would look good on these too.

Coloring engages parts of the cerebral cortex while relaxing the amygdala.

If you are trying to reduce stress, tension, and anxiety, coloring is an effective way for many adults to accomplish this.

Kindergarteners tend to be very happy people - they laugh far more often than graduate students do. Adults who scoff at coloring have lost much and have much to re-learn.

Because being an adult sucks. Colouring is also calming of the mind.

I never heard of this but it sounds pretty cool. Like doing crosswords but visually, I bet it's relaxing and exercises a different part of the brain than the standard word/math puzzles.

Gotta admit tho, it sounds funny how the OP worded it :smilecat:
