A quick breakdown. I am seventeen years old, eighteen in a few months. I weigh roughly around 155 lbs but that is because of the recent weight gain. 5 foot 10 inches. Now about for several weeks now, I have just been constantly hungry. I literally cannot stop eating. For breakfast, a bowl of cereal or oatmeal and fruit no longer can do the job. It now takes 2 or 3 bowls, granola bars, chocolate, whatever I can get my hands on. I just eat and eat and don't feel full (eventually I will), but the point is that I cannot control this. I've asked people like some friends and family and they all said the same thing: that "I am a growing boy". But I don't know, maybe there is some kind of explanation besides that. If anybody knows anything about this or has gone through the same thing and help avoid eating this much, it will be much appreciated.
how m,uch protein do you eat? you need substance. my sister's husband is constantly hungry if he doesnt eat protein for dinner. you need bacon and eggs and toast. cereal aint gonna do shit.
Honestly, I don't watch my protein and calories and stuff. I eat a regular breakfast, lunch and dinner. I also excercise frequently.
My last roommate used to be neurotic about the idea of parasites in her body... even asking me to check her poop to confirm that there were no parasites. I guess the phobia is contagious because the mere mention of parasites in humans send my mind into a tizzy. =/ Dude, I totally hope you don't have parasites. Hopefully its just that your 17 and your growing and your metabolism is just really high. =/
if you feel like something is off internally, you could ask your doctor. hyperthyroidism can turn you into a ravenous ravenous rhino. thats part of how it manifested in me, metabolism was way fast, i was eating two, three times as much and losing weight, and health. i wasnt absorbing any nutrients. it was shitty. im feeling much better since seeing a doctor and getting treated. im almost completely off my medication too, so, hooray!
You're always hungry because you're seventeen years old. I really wouldn't worry about it. Edit: Make sure you're not eating too much sugary foods; choclate, apples, juice, carbs (bread, bagels). Sugary foods make us feel more hungry, which can make some eat when they don't need to be eating.
Yea you're 17. You are going to eat everything in site. Just make sure you eat good stuff. Eat some junk food every now and then-but don't make that what you eat all the time. You'll be better for it later in life.
