Who's open about smoking?

What's the deal, is everyone scared of what folks will think? It's true a healthy paranoia keeps you out of jail, but why are people not proud to be green?

I am no activist but I'll HONESTLY talk to anyone about pot. Why be elusive, since anything I say is just free speech? In fact when I spot another smoker I'm always first to ask if they want to burn one down! And I'm not shy about sharing either!

But what happens sometimes is people will lie straight to my face, and spout some cowardly crap like "i don't smoke" wearin a bob marley shirt and a hemp backpack!

So, if some hippie looking fellow came over to you and asked for a lighter... would YOU get stoned that day?

And would I get stoned that day..? I get stoned every day regardless of someone asking me for a lighter, so yes.

 

i'm as open as it gets for a smoker... i smoke in public all the time... anyone that knows me.. knows i smoke... bosses/co-workers included.. parents.. family... i'll spark a bowl up walking down the street... i'll ask the cabbie if he minds if i spark or if he smokes and wants to burn... just the other week a cabbie yelled at me for smoking a cig in his cab because its illegal to smoke in public areas in minnesota.. so i was like "well... ya mind if i smoke a bowl?" and he was like "go for it... you get a lesser fine for that shit" and he didnt smoke

 

and to answer your question about smoking with some random dude askin me for a lighter.. shit that happens ALL the time..

 

Im really open about my pot smoking, and about pretty much everything in my life. It's just such a widespread "drug," that is so commonly used by pretty much every walk of life that it's pretty easy to accept. When I was growing up nearly ALL of my friend's parent's smoked it. Mine didn't, but my mom was a stoner when she was my age. So I don't really care who knows.. And I'm not really afraid of going to jail cause I don't deal, and I don't usually carry weed and a piece on me. I'll have one or the other, but I usually smoke at home so I just keep everything there. And the pigs around here don't really care. They have more shit to worry about that maybe .5 grams of pot in my purse at one time.

People who are afraid of getting caught or keep their weed smoking a secret shouldn't be smoking in the first place. It's a lifestyle really. So yea I completely agree with you.

 

First day of school this year. I ask for a cig and this guy asks if i smoke bud, first thing he says. I say yea i do and now i have the best bud hook in 2 years. People are very open it really depends where you at.

 

No I like being a little secretive about it, not everyone I know is pot friendly.

 

i liek to b secretive...i think its stupid..im in high school and i hate it when all these kids tring to b cool tlak overly loudly about all the bowls they smoke..i dont' like it....i hate to show off like that i jsut keep quite only if ppl ask me or i really have sumthing to say about it

 

i'm open enough. there's a difference between boasting/bragging and just being open. if i'm asked if i smoke than i'll say ya, but i don't tell certain people like teachers, coaches, or most authority for that matter. however, i'm extremely open about my drug use with my parents, i've told them what drugs i've done and when i did them. they've gained a lot of trust for me because of this, and they don't overeact so i can be sure that if i tell them something they won't immediatly jump on me about it.

 

yea there is a difference between bragging and openess. It always bothers me when someone who probably only smokes once a week makes themselves sound like they smoke 24/7 cause they think it's cool or whatever.

I keep it to myself. why should anyone but me and my friends know? If someone asks I would say I smoke but im not advertising.

someone said its a way of life. very true, but different effects on life for some people.

 

Im open. Everyone knows i do. Or at least they do if they ask me. I dont just go around randomly talking about it, but if somone asks my opinion or if i do, i have nothing to hide.

 

If I'm questioned about it I'm honest (Unless its a job interview or something) Both my parents now know I smoke and arent super cool about it but respect the fact that I can own up to it and the fact that I'm well informed about what I am doing. Plus the fact that the only illegal "Drug" I've ever experimented with is pot.

 

I'm very open with my friends and they are all starting to come to me to light them up for the first time. The only thing is i dunt know how to approach it with my parents. My mom and dad both understand its not tht bad but because im only 14 i dont know if i should bring it up or not. I think age is just a number by which we limit ourselves, but i dunt know if my parents feel the same way.

 

I am open about it with anyone who asks. Almost everyone I know (excluding some family) knows I smoke green. The only people that dont know are my grandparents. I am trying to keep it from them since they would most likely flip and have a heart attack or something.

 

i am honest about it, but i guess i don't flaunt it

because our laws allow for two plants and a bit extra
for personal use, it makes it a bit easier
i smoke in my garden, so the neighbours must be aware
i smoke around family and some of my family members take
more drugs than me
i come from a family of hippies,
at a family gathering, i may just go for a walk...

i work for myself,but of i didn't i wouldn't tell
my co workers because of the gossip factor

i just don't make a big deal about it

i also think because of chronic health pain
i think people tend not to worry about it

personally, i think other people
have better things on their minds
like their own problems in life

 

well that about wraps it up for me. Im moving to Australia...lol jkjk although you guys do have l larger fire poi community..x(


i keep my drug habbits to myself. my lil sis knows i smoke pot but thats it and my twin knows i smoke pot and more. i dont advertise it at school but i do talk about it freely with people ive toked with or buy from.

 

Thanks for so many good responses that's badass. I am an american, so yes smoking is illegal. Smoking for me is a lifestyle. It's who I am and I'm not ashamed one bit. I'm PROUD to be herbal, and it's my opinion that the world would be a better place if the ignorance and misinformation about cannabis was replaced by understanding.

I am a decent person, and it seems to me that if someone has a preconception about "drug users", I'd be happy to be an example of what pot really does and show the truth to them.

 

I am pretty open with pot. nearly everyone knows i smoke except for a select few people who I think it might hurt them to know I smoke, and also some friends parents dont know i smoke but that is from my friends asking me to keep it a secret and I do out of respect for my friend. Other than that I'm open with anyone who asks.



btw there are non smokers that listen to bob marley and wear shirts with him on it, and yes non-smokers do use hemp also.

 

If I'm questioned about smoking bud, I only answer yes to select people whom I know won't spread my business around. I mean, c'mon, why would you want everyone to know about your life? It's YOUR life, not the world's. My friends and select family members know, and some school friends know too, but if I'm questioned in school, I'll only tell people that I know that do it and won't gossip about it. I'm pretty quiet about it with people, plus I have the rep as the quiet boy in school who does his work and that's it. But yeah, it shouldn't be the whole world's business; just yours.
