I want you to just look out your window and let Gods beautiful creation sink in, look at the sun, look at the moon, look at the sky, imagine all the plantes and galaxies there are, imagine all the animals and plants we havent even discovered yet! Think about the billions and billions of stars, think of THE HUMAN RACE ITSELF in a deep way, think of our brains, our eyes, our legs, our bodys that are basically self healing machines, think of all of this........

Then tell me God doesnt exist.

If you can, your just a FOOL.

I love you God, I want to thank you in this post for everything you have done for us, i want to thank you for forgiving us, for giving us free will for this little time we have on earth until we come to heaven to spend eternity of peace, joy and feeling your unconditional love at all times.

Man it feels good to be alive knowing you know the creator, toobad so many people dont.

Why that's just silly. It's just as beautiful, or noble, or whatever you think your thoughts are, to say that it was all created by the laws of nature.

It's makes a heck of a lot more sense, too.

Nah, sorry for bringing up your age. That dosn't matter.

I just hate it when people call me a fool.

actually, I can't even say that there is no god, cuz who really knows? Not me.

This post is not work safe.

I want you to look in the newspaper. I want you to look at the world around you and see that outside of the empire that is western democracy, a world of death, terror and pain exists.

Look at the island of Hispaniola and see the deforistation of the hatian border. Do you see how death, political instability, and poverty have turned an island paradise into a death-filled desert, with no economy, no food, and no hope?

Look at the sheer atrocity of military campaigns worldwide.

Are people who look at these things and don't see god in them really fools?

Or might it be you who is the fool?

You have to look beyond the world of appearances to find god, because you'll find that hate, pain, and evil seem to outbalance good.

This leads people to ask the question: How could a god who is ultimately good, omnipotent, and omniscient allow such things to happen?

Don't tell people to look around them to find god, because they wont see god there. They'll see pain, death, and struggle, but not god.

    Well played Ollie.

Have you seen 'Friends of God' (HBO doc on evangelical christians). The stuff is sick, you can't argue or reason with such ideology. It's as locked in and non-negotiable as one might imagine islamic extremism, and it frankly scares the shit out of me.

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools

The same reason you chose to question God. It was your choice to do so. Does God control what you do? I would say not completely. God gave us the freedom to do what is right and also to do what is wrong. Sadly, most of the world has chosen to do what is wrong and that is what you are seeing--the evil choice of mankind.

Jesus states in regards to salvation: Enter through the narrow gate because it leads to life, but only a FEW find it.

It scares me too, and I'm a christian. The more extreme sects of christianity are very similar to islamic extremism. They're frightening, and they're what destroyed the church in europe. If the moderate christians let christian extremism continue, it will destroy the church. But they aren't evangelical, they're fundamentalist.

Fundamentalism must be stopped in every religion, and in every manifestation.

And by the way, JD4U. If god doesn't control me completely, then god is not omnipotent. The bible has plenty of examples of god controlling human beings. Hell, just look at Pharoah. God made him do the wrong thing. God hardened his heart. And you're telling me that god can't do what the bible says god does do?

God made Pharoah do the evil thing. The bible says so. Just read it.

How could a good god make a person do something evil?

I'd say you're right. Your thinking is pretty futile and you've become a fool. I'm not questioning god here, I'm saying that it's stupid to tell people to look at the world around them in order to see god.

You need to look deeper than the world of appearances.

God is able to let evil take over. He has authority over evil. God did not dirrectly create Pharoh to do evil. But rather God let lose the evil one to do the damage.

The Bible also states, "And remember, no one who wants to do wrong should ever say, "God is tempting me." God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else either."

God, Flying Spaghetti Monster, Evil Unicorn named Zed that eats baked beans under my bed, all have the possibility of existing even though it's impossible to know for certain whether they do or don't exist, so why even try?

Just live, that's the only thing you can truly do anyway.

I think religion just gets in the way and complicates life unnecessarily. Ah well, that's just my take. To each their own.

Wait. I thought your 'supreme being' was all-knowing, eh? That means he knows the future, and knew some of the people he would create were destined to question his existence and therefore would burn in hell from the get-go. Otherwise, he would not be omnipotent, right? Therefore he created beings just to send to hell. What an asshole.

if God did not exist then neither would the world or you, but obviously this is all just my opinion...*sigh*

can i just say that alot of the non-christians who keep repeating your arguments, your hearts are not open and you are only using your head and not your hearts. you are tying yourself in knots with your opinions and allsorts. God is not about thinking up logic and theologies in order for Him to exist, although He logically does exist. He is a relational God and is happy for you to come looking for Him, but it seems to me that in all honesty none of you are looking for Him at all, because if you had open hearts and genuinely looked for Him then you would find Him. I can 100% guarantee that.

People come from all over the world to look at the image of the 'virgin' mary in the wood grain of a door panel. You see what you want to see. Doesn't mean it's not complete and utter bullshit. I can 100% guarantee that.

the arguments are only repeated because unfortunately so many christians will not listen and refuse to acknowledge logic and sheer lack of fact in their arguements

im in no way a religious person, but i am spiritual, you say that non-christians/believers dont have our hearts open, maybe its just christians (etc) who have their minds closed?

My God and YOUR God (wether you accept Him or Not) IS all-knowing. However, just because He is all-knowing does not mean He controls our every move. We are not robots. He created humans with a choice. A VERY simple choice-YES or NO. If God did not give us this choice, then the love that He desired would be worthless. He created humans so that they have the option of loving Him and thus would be a true love.

Just because God knew what would happened does not mean all were destined for hell. Everyone throughout history has had the same yes/no question. Sadly most of HUMANKIND's choice has been "no" without thanks.
