If you were having a dinner party and were allowed to invite 5 famous people to dinner who would they be. (dead or alive)
John Lennon, Mike Myers, Johnny Depp, Gloria Steinam (which I totally can't spell) and Freud. It would be a very, very awkward party, but it would be funny...and Johnny Depp rocks my socks lol
Ahem. (Clearing throat.) Nostradomus, Steven Hawking, and John Denver. After desert, I'd know the answers to ALL the mysteries of the Universe. Or at least, we'd all be too high to care.
Thats a good choice, Nostradomus and Steven Hawking. I've got 4 people but can't think of my 5th just yet.
Stephen King, Tommy Chong, Salvidor Dali, Oliver Reed and Jimi Hendrix. Each have their own special - and very different - qualities. The art of writing, toking, painting, drinking and amazing sounds...all sat around my table. The only question would be....what on earth would I cook???
I'd probably invite Robert Doisneau, Drew Barrymore, Janis Joplin, Cicely Barker and ....5th i can't think of one right now...
Mahatma Gandhi, Princess Diana, Fjodor Dostojevski, Bob Marley and Clifford Geertz (a famous anthropologist )
i want to invite Philip of Macedon but i'm worried about seating him next to Oscar Wilde *fret* fighting at dinner is not very appetising ya know! i'd like buddha in his slim years and Noah because i want to ask about the ark and of course Marilyn Monroe must sit next to me and sing boomty boo or whatever that song was. i'd insist on English and maybe italian food. i also need to ask Henry VIII about how he survived 6 wives. ya.
George Carlin, Ron White, and Larry the Cable Guy would be on the list.... I'll think about the other two
I would invite my very cool grandmother, morissey, Jack Kerouac, the Virgin Mary and Maya Angelou. We'd sit around eating chocolate, drinking rich red wine, and talk about politics and poetry. mariecstasy, I think that would be just the peachiest dinner... good luck with that!
Chief Seattle, my hero, a very wise man. Mary Magdalene, enigmatic partner of Yeshua Ben Joseph. Lao Tzu, great thinker and teacher. Edgar Cayce, noted psychic and prophet. Hypatia, Dean of the Library of Alexander in 400 A.D.
Damn, I wish I were having dinner with Bobby Knight, because that would probably mean he's recruiting me. My dinner? Eh, I can't think of any famous people I'd like to have dinner with. I'd like to do something more appropriate, like write a song with Tom Waits or act in a Jim Jarmush film.
