Ok, we all know there are a few large companies such as Texaco, Nike, Coca-Cola P&G, Taco Bell (YUM Inc) etc whom anyone with a conscience should boycott. So are there any shoe companies, gas stations, clothing companies, or any other larger businesses that are easily accessible and who's products or services can be bought for guilt free?

Any time you buy something you don't really need, you contribute to the whole evil fucking system. Really, I don't think there's any way to escape it other than making all your own clothes from your own raw materials and growing your own food.

Fuck Yum foods, though. No one should eat their food, seriously.

And to make this process more efficent (cause that one way in which these companies make money), groups of people will live together. One will focus his energies on the agriculture, one will focus on the collection of rubber, one will focus on cooking etc. Then you eradicate this system of money, and you are left with a self serficient system, not governed by money but by socialism.

There's annies mac and cheese :)
Ben and Jerrys got bought out by a conglomerate tho :(

I imagine that most places that sell organic hemp clothing, etc. are probably eco friendly if nothing else. Online is almost accesible, unless you're trying on shoes.

There's a store around here called Food Giant..never been, but it's a big grocery store, employee owned, I wouldn't feel guilty buying their generics.
Beyond that it's a tricky road... organic milk cows are usually better treated...and in supermarkets.....

You aren't helping the conglomerates by buying used.
www.freecycle.org is an awsome way to get stuff you need and give away your junk without adding to landfills (and it's free).

As for gas...lawd....ever considered getting converted to a different fuel? lol...I can't imagine a gas station out there that doesn't deserve to be boycotted. Except maybe one that only gets it's gas from texas, maybe they kill the environment , but at least they wouldn't be involved in the mayhem overseas.

There's even a "green" bank out there....come to think of it there's something called the "green pages"...all environmental and holistic etc places across the US...it's like the environmental people yellow pages.

All I can think of at the moment...I aint movin into a commune or collecting used rubber, lmao.

its the circle of life in this era...just as something really groovy that is helpful for the earth or something comes along it gets bought out by the man...however this is not true in some cases...like seventh generation products.

I don't really boycott anyone, although I avoid purchasing Nestlé products. I'm not the boycotting type, but numerous people have told me about what business practices nestlé are involved in, and to be honest, I'm prepared to give Nestlé the finger.

Other than that, I'm not really boycotting anyone.

i read an article in my local paper yesterday about Co-op Food places in the U.S they sell organics and instead of the money going to a corporation like Whole Foods or Earth Fare, it goes back to the store and the community. Any co-ops in your areas?

P&G are known to have many tests that abuse animals. They also have many questionable activities that degrade the values in todays sociaity.

Many people ask themselfs what other alternative is there? The P&G products are some of the best they've ever seen. Well there is more to the story you don't know. P&G has done a great job at tricking the consumer into thinking they are getting their moneys worth when buying a product, but in reality they are shortting the customer on the quality of the products and even releasing products that are harmful for general consumption of every day people like you and me.

I offer internet presentations to anyone who would like to see how P&G is ripping them off and what better alternatives there are out there.

If you would like to see one just email me at nkeith@iglide.com and let me know you read this post and I'd be happy to show you exactly what I'm talking about.

Do you really need your computer? No, you don't. Hypocrite.

Thanks, Fidel. One of the crowning achievements of capitalism is the ability to specialize - you do what you're good at, somebody else does what they're good at, and you swap goods/services rather than "making all your own clothes from your own raw materials and growing your own food," which is the economic policy of Cuba and North Korea.

We really have to start supporting alternative resources like family farms, and alternative energy so that when the oil crisis finally arrives there will be an infrastructure in place that will help us through.

You can also buy from Ebay (where I got my blueberry laptop), I know people who depend on Ebay for their business because there are to many barriers to having a business any other way.
