I love hockey...i would like to play it but...i can't skate i love watching the erie otters because that is the nearest hockey team to me...i wishj my school had a hockey team...my friends hate it when i talk about hockey...they think i am an idiot
I played houseleague for a couple of years but that was ages ago, and after that played shinny quite a bit, but now I don't even have a pair of skates that fit, only been skating once this year But I still love the game, life long, born and bred, Habs fan, my grandpa has one of the old seats from the Montreal Forum (they sold them all before gutting the place out), the exact same one he sat in when he and my dad watched them win thier last cup. We always drag it out of the basement when the playoffs roll around...doesn't seem to be of any luck though, and now the chances of them even makin the playoffs this year are lookin shakey (though I have faith Gainy can turn 'em around). I used to go out to Oshawa Generals games all the time when I was kid too, back when Lindross was playin for em and for a few years after, OHL games are always fun. Saw a couple of QMJHL games when I lived in Val d'Or a couple years ago, one of which just happened to be against Remouski, with a young Sidney Crosby on the ice, just incredible.
who doesnt love hockey??? I never played it growing up, and still dont really play it on ice much, but i play street/ball hockey quite a bit now. I watch the occasional leaf game and listen to the occasional pens game, if i can bear listening to them lose.
I've got a love for hockey. Habs fan. And I've met a couple NHL players at pubs and drank with them, and a couple pros who play for Sweden. I've been around OHL for a long while, I've seen some games (go '67s!!!!) and my neighbour played in both the OHL and the QMJHL. I've seen the Canadian women's team play - who cares what your friends think. Get online and join a multi-player strategic game against someone. Get into hockey with someone who shares your interests and discuss what you'd like with people. Join a club. Ask your friends to come over for ice cream, facials and the hockey game. Ask your friends to come to a game with you one night. Plenty of boys and hot chocolate. GO!
well...a lot of people i know don't like hockey...the only person in my school that i know for sure likes hockey...he plays for the Mercyhurst Lakers...since our school has no team...in the past week or so i have gotten 2 people into hockey and that is a accomplishment for me...and last week i took both of them to their 1st hockey game...our team lost
That was not pretty to watch. Got to hand it to the Sens, they're a hell of a club. If Fergie doesn't make a major deal (or perhaps fire that fat fucker behind the bench) before Mar 9, this is the year the unthinkable happens and the Sens actually beat the Leafs in a playoff series.
I played house-league from grade 4 to grade 8. By the time jr high came around thoguh I hated it. I was on teams that had a bunch of guys that were freaking idiots who were just annoying as hell. I was never really into the NHL, but now I can acctually stand to watch it, though I don't really follow it. I also always hated playing floor-hockey in school cause once any guy got a "testosterone stick" in his hands they would slash and hook you and shit. My town is a big hockey town, but mainly the people who get to play on the Rep. teams are either people who parents are insane and pressure them to the bone, or their parents work for Dow. It makes me mad. I always hated hockey guys in school, and the puck bunny sluts that followed them around. Playing shinny with friends is still fun though. Every Friday before Christmas my family gets together and has a shinny game at an arena in the town where my uncle lives...
i have never played but i really want to. I can't beleive Vince Scott lost control of the puck during the shoot out...he would have made it
i like hockey. my mom got me into it. cant play worth shit but i love to watch the washington caps. even though they always get their asses beaten since 98.
I played rep for 9 years and this year I went down to house league because im not serious about it anymore... still fun though.
well...i can not explain that but...maybe since hockey is big in canada you really don't care for it..like me for example...football is big in the U.S but i don't care for it
Well in my opinion... like it matters... Fighting takes away from the game and it really takes the sport away... You know that whole have fun idea...
fighting is awesome.... it really pumps the teams up and yeah ottawa smacked the leafs around and then the leafs finally gave it there absolute best effort last night and almost tied it at the end. Ottawa was kind of flat though also.
