I know two people who live in brighton. Lucky for them when the sun gets too hot, they can simply walk down to the beach and get a tan. Also they can jump in the sea if they are brave enough.
im from brighton, im the guy with the long red hair and beard usually looking deep in thought. its a cool place to live
i'm the guy with the long wavey brown hair, I hang out in the dumb waiter cafe in the lanes, oh and I'm gay S
is their any certain place you actually like ronald ?......take it your worst chrimbo present was an a to z or great brighton sorry britain  .........can i have some mac nuggets with me fries man
I'm the guy with the moey that needs reshaving and dreads at the back, I hang out in the Dumb Waiter a fair bit too and spend most of my life working/socialising in the North Laine.... Maybe we know each others faces?? Ooooh!! We were running the diy gallery/art space/coffee shop a few doors down from the DW until we got evicted last week. It was in the shop that was called ROAR before. Did you come in? Sooo Brighton people, where do you live? What do you do? Where do you hang out? What do you like about this town? Dislike? Anything else? Let's hear it.... I live near Preston Park, it's not a bad place, near enough to town to walk and you've got the big wide open park as your garden which is always lovely in the summer. For the last 3 years I've been working with a not for profit production company specialising in multicultural events and cultural diversity all that (give us your money Arts Council mwahaha). I also run around doing bits and pieces for vol. orgs and do club nights and free parties with various crews etc etc... My favourite pub is the Evening Star on Surrey Street. It's just around the corner from my work so is the usual place for drinkies, they only have one lager and then about 10-15 ales and ciders on rotation on tap and a couple of hundred bottled imported beers. Half of the ale is brewed on the premises/in Brighton with quality ingredients, music is rarely on and if it is they have it at a level that's comfortable enough to have a conversation. Perfect pub. Other places you might find me: The Albert, Basketmakers Arms, Saint James, Mrs Fitzherberts, Earth & Stars and most places with decent real ale and not too much of a bar vibe. The Volks is also my second home for munting. Beach/park/pavilion in summer, Dumb waiter as mentioned, Guarana bar, occasionally Kensingtons, and walking the streets from Bond Street to Sydney Street over and over in the summer meeting friends and flyering etc. I like the people, the atmosphere when everything kind of clicks and all the crazy people are out and when there's live music on every corner in the good weather blah blah, the street life here is great (probably why there''s so many homeless!). Dislike the council, trendy London commuters pushing up the house prices and bastard babylon developments screwing up the town and putting small traders out of business. Oh, and the crackheads. Some are alright but there's the ones that you know their face, they know yours yet they still try and blag you every single time. Nonetheless it's part of the character of the town and the crackheads are a valued part of the community (very inclusive and all that hehe) Tell me about your Brighton!!!!
I'm glad to see that so many people have answered here. Although I have to say that Ronald McDonald has eaten to many ego-inducing donuts. Yes, gay people live in Brighton and if you dont like it, you've got a huge shock for you when you see how many people are gay! I'm not but just showing that prejudice is the fist step to a social devide. And I think I might have spotted Reaperman somewhere in town, maybe in Red-Veg I dont know.
So what do you do moonhawk?? I take it you're still at school. Which one? Where do you like hanging out, getting up to??? etc etc Tell me!
