Pa kettle: " I gotta fix that one of these days..." :smilielol5: Those were funny movies, I remember watching them on sundays at my grandmas house. We would watch old movies and nibble on tough as boots 'circus peanuts' my grandma always had drying out in the cookie jar, lol
Was wondering this too We got kettle corn, kettle bells, kettle movies. We need a pot meet kettle thread.
I used to love watching those old movies, hard to find now. I loved the Sherlock Holmes movies with Basil Rathbone, The Bowery Boys and of course The Little Rascals. Then you got the whole Abbot & Costello series, Martin & Lewis, and let's not forget these fine actors;
I've got the complete 12 movie DVD collection starring Basil Rathbone & Nigel Bruce - Its great :2thumbsup: Hotwater
"I need to borrow some shingles and nails".. haha, Im a try that the next time Im at the hardware store..
Good mentions--don't forget Charlie Chan--the ones with Mantan Moreland were really funny. And I love Ma and Pa Kettle. They first showed up in "The Egg and I." How about Wallace Beery and 'Tugboat Annie'?
I have Charlie Chan movies downloaded all but two.. 50 hours, but only 2 are my favorites , Dead men tell and Wax Museum. I still watch the others often tho.
There is really something to be said for the classics. We use to wait all week for them to come on and sit like little fools laughing away. My parents always watched with us and they were as silly as we were. Same with Disney, it use to be on Sunday evenings and it was the only time we were ever allowed to eat dinner and watch a show. Mom use to set up TV tables and we would all sit in the living room and watch that weeks episode. Good memories to have.
