You gotta be kidding! He was a jerk! He had no idea of what communism was truly about and he only cared for power, not to mention he killed about 20 million of people!
Ok, I value life, and I believe no one has the right to decide who lives and who dies. No political ideology is more important than people's lives.
With that logic your favorite should be Mao, since he killed a lot more of his own people than Stalin did!
Finally, a communist who is willing to acknowledge that communism is incompatible with anarchy or libertarianism, and makes no apologies for his support of brutal dictators. Too bad you're a troll...
I'm not a big fan of communists or communism. It doesnt really work does it? But then living in a capitalist society driven by money isnt exactly a walk in the park either.
True. Anyway, eventhough I don't think capitalism is good, I'd rather live in a capitalist country than in a communist one. Al least I can express myself freely, and they won't kill me for thinking differently.
i'd have to say lenin. he seemed to be the most lenient one out of all of them. don't know too much about che or mao.
hahahaha, so... you call them pussies based on what? They were all bloody murderers just like your precious Stalin. Honestly, how can you be so thirsty for blood? Don't you think it would be better to achieve equality by a non-violent method? (sorry if it sounds disrespectful, it is not my intention, is just that I don't understand it...)
I can't help but notice that no real substantial argument has been made in this entire thread, but that shouldn't be suprising since we're discusing politics. I think politics is the most sordid of businesses, in case you haven't figured that out yet. I do love philosophy, however, and Marx was a philosopher, a very, very bad philosopher, who we can discuss in great detail if anyone is interested Anyway, there are two things have really stuck out in my mind after reading this thread. 1) Let's stop deluding ourselves and acknowledge that Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot were just as much Communists as Lenin, Trotsky, or Castro. No one has a trademark on the word "Communist," which is very funny because it seems like every socialist splinter group would like to - how oh so Marxist of them. If someone claims to be a Communist, I take them at their word and to be a very confused individual. 2) Any system of government that needs to kill 25 million people to "work" isn't really working in the first place. That seems self-evident to me, but I can see how the point would be lost on a Communist.
