Who is fed up of Brexit?

I am! So I want to know what your going to be doing on October 31st! I'm giving my sister in law a night out... we will be celebrating her birthday, stuff the Brexit parties..

What you going to do? Or what do you hope to do..?

 

We wouldn't be fed up with Brexit if we hadn't voted for it. We made our bed, so we must lie in it.

 

I am l fed up of it as well . We will be going to an Halloween party .Not decided on the costumes as yet.

It's got to a stage now where I don't care what they do. Leave, or Remain, but for crying out loud, just make your minds up AND GET ON WITH IT!

 

I'm still pretty interested in how it plays out, but I am not directly involved. I would love to sort of fast forward through the process and skip to the ending, though.

 

Americans perspective:

Why leave the EU when it helps you so much? They do have health and safety laws that raise tax or make some things more difficult. But the trade off is worth it.

England colonized the whole world and now a lot of Brexit seems to be not liking EU laws on immigration. I find that kind of ironic. You mean you don't want people who are like like you just deciding to live in your country? I'm sure that sucks. But also that was a long time ago in English history. The people alive now are not part of that. I do see a heavy racist element in Brexit though. There are other elements but in American media the racists are very vocal. Certain people here really like that. England is good since it's for the English and of course Europe is full of Muslims who are neither English or American. We have to respect England for not being politically correct according to Fox news.

 

Why dont you guys join the EU then?

Forget about immigration, just concentrate on economics

Geography and distance dont mean that much anymore

A european union sounds like a good idea, everyone getting on together, but economically, whats wrong with it?

 

I don't think the US would be allowed in at this point. I would love for us to join. Right wing Americans hate Europe though. They hate the tax, they hate immigrants, they hate that they don't worship Trump. They see the whole continent as enslaved and not "free". It's a hard battle to change that.

Nothing is wrong with it. We just need to get past this idea America is special. Often here when you call all this out you are either jealous or a Communist according to orange voters.
