So, who believes they have truly, honestly, in the depths of their heart, thinks that they have found true love? The romantic sex, the cuddling, the connection, the everything? I know I have, anyone else has?
I really do not think an 18 year old could have achieved "true love", true love is something that takes years of developement imo... then again there are those cases where ppl meet at young age and make it to the grave... I would conclude you have found, in no particular order, great sex, a good relationship, or something else, but true love... eh thats like finding the best item in the game at level 8, possible i suppose, but likely its not the real monty, just a newbie's infatuation.
Yep, and he's sitting beside me right now, eating my moms cooking and pretending to like it. He's perfect
Ive found my true love. Hes everything i could ever dream of. We are like two peas in a pod.lol. I couldnt see myself with anyone else, hes just so perfect in everyway.
Same here, yesterday my bf and i celebrated our 1 yr together. He is the most wonderful person i know, and i do believe i have accomplished true love.
Hehe lots of young people answering. I'd like to hear from some people 30 and 40+ or even 70+. Be interesting...
I was married for many years, and my wife dropped dead suddenly and prematurely, in my arms, almost five years ago. After a period of mourning, I decided to date again. What helped me most was a passage from a novel by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, which I adapted: "He saw no reason why he should not be prepared by life to accept her just as she was, without fantasies of guilt because of his dead lover, resolved to discover with her the other happiness of being happy twice, with one love for everyday use which would become, more and more, a miracle of being alive, and the other love that belonged to him alone, the love immunized by death against all contagion." I have been lucky enough to be happy twice, and to find two true loves...
Why does someone have to be old to have true love? love is love, "Austinn", and I don't think it always takes years to find true love. I know i have, and it has only been a year.
I do. i dated a girl all through college, have dated different girls. I am about to ask my girlfriend to be my wife on our 1 yr. 5 minutes with her and i felt stronger feelings than anything i have ever felt in my life and it has only gotten better since then.
I hope I have. I'm probably too young to know for sure, but I feel like I'm awfully lucky to be with my guy. We get each other and we're completely honest with each other. And he always lets me have the first bong hit.
this is very *very* sweet thread. i'd like to go against the flow here and say i haven't ever found true love. i think i may have found the beginnings of it though.
me and my stoney baby have been together for about 2 years .. weve been having the best sex for awhile its awesome...hes my bestfriend, hes my everything and im his. its pretty amazing yes its possible to find true love, its rare and ppl often mistake true love but i kno from the bottom of soul that hes mine forever<3
Well im saying everyone who is young is 100% sure they have found true love yet somehow very few of those young finders of true love seem to last, hence, i wouldnt call it true love until it has had time to be true love, My idea of true love is just not achievable at 16, I view "true love" as something that takes time, not just strong emotion and feelings, but I do recognize that there are rare exceptions, although quite frankly I doubt most the people in this thread fall into that category, just statisticly speaking...
I found true love a few times actually. But every time the relationship ended badly. I thought I was the common denominator and therefore defective. Then I saw a girl working in a toy store. We got married 17 years ago and it has been wonderful. We've been poor, we've had children, college, a house, then we weren't poor, and now we're just raising the children and enjoying each other as much as we can. She saved my life by coming into it. CF
