It's about the only reason I have a TV, though I watch mostly on the internet cuz all you get around here are cowgirl games.

Long time fan of the Phins and the Bucs but have warmed up to the Seahawks after having lived in Portland.

I’ve been a big fan of the New England Patriots since I was a kid back in 1985

Even before the arrival of Tom Brady back in 2000 we had some breakout years in 85 and 96 when we made it to the Super Bowl only to get destroyed by the Bears Shufflin’ Crew and then Brett Farve and the Green Bay Packers.

The last 20 years have been incredible, but now that the team in only mediocre it’s a hard pill to swallow.

I’ve gone to some big games at Foxborough during the Brady era, but one game I won’t be going to is tonight against Tampa Bay. For one thing the ticket prices are crazy, there was one offer of $11,000 dollars although the seat is at the 50 yard line.

As much as I hated them for dominating the AFC so long, I give Belichick and Brady props for putting together such a run. I do pine for the good ol days of Shula and Csonka and Griese and Buoniconti.

I've been a Pats fan since 1970 when they drafted Jim Plunkett. Yes I'm old.

And Willie, when did you live in Portland? I'm still there, I'll root for the Seahawks when they're not playing the Patriots. I lived in San Diego for awhile and warmed up to the Chargers, but now they moved to L.A. so fuck them. And I hate the Raiders, don't care if they're in Oakland, L.A. or Vegas.

Steelers although I've about had it with their performance these last couple years.
We need a new head coach.

I'm also getting tired of how much money pro football players make anymore.
In 1977 Joe Greene made $100,000, $414,000 in today's money and he is known as one of the best to ever play pro ball. That's after the Steelers won two Superbowls.

Congrats Londoners, you get the Toilet Bowl game between my Dolphins and the Jacksonville Jaguars. At least they both suck the same, so it might make for a good game.

Saw most of the 2nd half yesterday (I'm an early riser), and thought it was headed to OT for sure. Who knew JAX would actually get their first win?

The Pats came so close to beating Dallas yesterday! I'm disapponted that they lost but I have to say they're coming along nicely.

Don't know if I can watch football anymore after being a Phins fan for more than forty years. And now with the Seahawks tanking all I got left is the Bucs, who we lovingly used to call the Suckaneers growing up in Orlando, yet its being led by none other than Shady Brady. :confused2:

Can't say I wasn't pulling for you. Dallas has been getting all the bounces lately. And I have to hear about it ad nauseum every week living here in Texass.

The game is soooo much different today than it was in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Rules have been changed to favor the offenses. Some of the hits that used to be made back then would have today's players tossed out of the league.

I miss the play style of players like Dick Butkus, "Deacon" Jones, Alan Page, Carl Eller, Jack Lambert, Jack Tatum, Ted "the Mad Stork" Hendricks, Ken Houston, Matt Millen, Ronnie Lott, and the 1985 Bears' defense. None of those guys "gently escorted" opposing players to the ground. Brady would have been "Target #1" in all the NFL. He'd have never lasted as long back then as in today's "oh my goodness - don't hurt the quarterback" league.

I concur. QBs should be required to wear dresses these days. Butkus had em crappin their pants back then.

Aaron Rodgers tests positive for COVID-19: Rules for unvaccinated NFL players, when Packers QB could return, more

News that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19, is unvaccinated and will miss this weekend's game against the Chiefs shocked the NFL world on Wednesday -- and not just because he said in August that he had already been "immunized." Since training camp opened in late July, Rodgers had not been publicly observed to be following any of the obvious protocols for unvaccinated NFL players, as agreed upon this summer by the NFL and NFL Players Association. The NFL is currently reviewing the situation with the Packers, per a league statement on Wednesday afternoon.

So what's the deal here? Did Rodgers mislead everyone about his vaccination status? Was he flouting NFL rules? Were the Packers or the league looking the other way? What follows is our best attempt to separate fact, assumption and outright fiction in this evolving story. We lay out what we definitively know about the situation right now and run through the league's protocols involved, potential fines that could be in play and when Rodgers could be back on the field for Green Bay.

What a turnaround since then! If we beat the Bills tomorrow, not only do we have first place in the division but first in the AFC!

A reported asked Terry Bradshaw if his 1974 team could beat the current Steelers team.
He said, “Yes, but the score would be close.
    Maybe 10-7.”
Reporter: “Why such a close score?”

Terry: “Well, most of us are over 70 now.”

I'm a fan of the Cowboys, Titans, and whoever is playing against Washington.

And lol @ Urban Meyer. Glad the Jaguars fired that jerk.

I'm far from a Cowboys fan, but glad to see Urban is gone too.

My team (Vikes) have become the previous Cowboys....perennial .500 team given the current GM, HC and QB.

    Go Chiefs! :D
