I don't care too much about Valentines Day. I'm pretty sure my boyfriend doesn't even know when Valentines Day is haha. We probably won't do anything special, but no worries!
I couldn't give all the fucks in the world about stupid fucking Valentine's Day. If you love somebody, show it everyday of the week. Besides, i'm too broke to go out and buy diamonds and chocolate for anybody. and I always feel weird when people give me gifts so there you go. This holiday is just another excuse to consume shit no one needs.
Who doesn't like to get red cardboard in the shape of a heart. Even better when it is made out of plastic instead.
I still have a residual hatred of v day from my single days so I don't really make an effort now that I'm in a relationship. We'll probably make a nice dinner but as we all know Valentine's day is just a ploy to help the economy so we won't be going out to eat or buying gifts.
I think boosting the economy could be somewhat of a valid reason (as always it would depend on the way it is done exactly, just as the principle of letting an economy or a business 'grow') but not by producing mass amounts of rubbish that won't last a month. I don't mean rings, dinners or other thoughtful presents obviously (but why buy them only that day indeed, anyway personal choice.. I don't care ) but all the paper, cardboard and cheap shit that people think indicates something special because it is red or has the word valentine on it etc.
I don't really 'dislike" valentines day but I don't really care to celebrate it. I'm not a fan of wasting money on frivilous things and unnecessary meals out etc..we show love all year long so no need to do something extra that one day a year.
who doesn't give a shit about valentine's day? probably the people who don't bother posting in a thread about it.
I buy a huge box of chocolates for my household to munch on. Otherwise I pretty much ignore the holiday.
I haven't done anything for V Day since I was in high school, dating my first girlfriend. It's a bullshit holiday. But the lovely lady I'm currently pursuing says its her favorite holiday, so I'm probably going to get her a gift card to a spa or something.....I dunno.
Do it, she will appreciate it and it shows that you care about her feelings over and above your own disinterest in the "holiday". Its a sweet gesture.
That youtube video was a gem. Was that Pressed Rat on that bridge? Sorry. I keep bashing Pressed Rat.
