Who does he miss?

I was texting my guy friend and he told me that he missed me. I told him I missed him too and he texted me that it's been way too long.
We are in college on break, so when he said that it's been too long, did he mean that it's been too long since we've been up at school, or did he mean it's been too long since he has seen me?

 

How are we supposed to answer this question?

 

haven't you been on break for like 3 months now? that's way too long, most colleges get 2-3 weeks off.

 

Classes just started this week for the colleges around here.

And also OP, maybe you should consult a Magic 8 Ball while you're asking everyone but the person who knows the answer to your question?
